It was a great birthday dinner!
Thursday nights they have music trivia ands they will be having some other specialty nights soon!
I had never eaten there before, but I liked the location, appreciated how easy it was to get to, and wanted to support a local spot. From start to finish, working with Jamie Creevy, the GM, was a breeze. Planning an event can sometimes feel like herding cats, but Jamie and the team made it smooth and stress-free.
The menu? A mouthwatering lineup of brisket, smoked chicken, potato salad, Cole slaw, green beans, salad—you name it. Everything was flavorful, generously portioned, and honestly, just downright delicious. (Let’s just say no one left hungry or without a to-go box.)
The servers and bartender were top-notch—attentive, kind, and on top of everything. The bartender even crafted a perfect strawberry lemon drop for my wife, which quickly became the drink of the afternoon. (We may or may not have a new family tradition.)
Everyone raved about the food, the service, and the venue—and I couldn’t agree more. This was my first time at Whiskey & Smoke, but it certainly won’t be my last.
disappointed. We arrived early to enjoy a meal before the performance started.
First, they changed their menu up and had no BBQ. I ordered a glass of wine with dinner, the server didn’t know which cabernet sauvigon wine they had or how much it cost. When our table mates sat down, it took forever for their order to be taken. They had to ask for water cups, silverware and a glass for their bottle of wine.
The stage was so small the headliners were trying to figure out how to get all their instruments on stage and still be able to perform. The opening act started on time at 7 pm. He was a blues singer and was good for his genre, but not our cup of tea. When I looked around at the room, most people were playing on their phones.
After 45 minutes of his performance one of our table mates went and asked the manager how long until the headliners would be playing. He let them know it would be another hour. This left Fleetwood Journey with an hour performance. Along with our tablemates we decided to call it quits and left.
Business. Earned. Well done.
They’ve got a fantastic BBQ menu, the steak was delicious and the drinks were creative and fun. We even loved the Banana Pudding (we had ALL the things!)
