Hands down our favorite burger in Peekskill. We literally brag to our friends from other towns about how good the Up the River Burger is and how lucky we are to have Whiskey River right in the middle of town. Keep up the good work guys

Ok I started with 5 stars before I even got my burger based on my drink, appetizer and service! But then when my juicy burger came with the homemade BACON!!!! Wow!! Cauliflower Buffalo bites were delicious!! I had the Fight ya naked and The Diablo drinks! Both great! Very satisfied with all the food. Glad we stopped here for lunch! Will def be back again. Right in the heart of Peekskill, great burger bar with great drinks!

Had an excellent veggie burger, and my boyfriend had the bacon cheeseburger and we both thought they hit the spot. My friend had the chicken and waffles, also delish. I didn’t drink but my friends did, and they said beers were great. Kind, efficient service.

The food options are really creative and tasty. The cauliflower bites were crunchy and maybe could have been cooked little more. The chicken and waffle stackers is a great idea, the fries were good but the chicken was overcooked and tough and the waffles were a little soft. Would consider trying again maybe when they’re not so busy.

I just had what may be the most solid chicken sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Let’s start with the chicken itself. Most places will Try to fool you by giving you an extra large piece of chicken that is cooked unevenly. These guys give you two Cutlets of chicken that are grilled to perfection. Let’s move onto the bacon. We’ve all been to those restaurants that give you the cheapest, lowest quality piece of bacon they can find. Not Whiskey River! The bacon is thick and meaty with the perfect amount of fat to give it flavor. I’m normally not a fan of pickles on the chicken sandwich, but it really works in this case. Now finally, the bread. The Bread is a wonderfully toasted bun. Nothing pretentious with a bunch of seeds on it, just a rock, solid bun the bartender, I think his name was David, was wonderfully attentive and always made sure my beer glass was full. They are definitely deserving of five stars!

Stopped in for a quick lunch today, had the leaf it out salad. Great, light but filling salad. Was served promptly, good service and conversation with the bartender. Acidity of the salad was nice with the red onions, green olives, and balsmic vinegarette dressing cut by the cheddar cheese, eggs, and avocados $13, $16.50 with tax and tip. If I have more time next time, I’ll try more. Nice L shaped bar for 12 or so, less than half dozen tables, and just under 20 beers on tap. Great whisky selection.

First time trying this place out and it didn’t disappoint. Our waiter/bartender Nathan was very attentive and made sure our needs were met the whole time. The food and drinks were on point and tasty. The vibe inside was modern and classy. We will be back for sure.
