Went in to grab a bite to eat Was told they check ID. Sure no problem but please don’t scan the bouncer said no problem then tried to scan my ID glad I have tape over the barcode, For me in the last 5 years been apart of 25 data breaches. Asked about there scanner is cleared of information each day, week no answer. So personal data is just sitting on that scanner if it get stolen there goes thousands could be more of people information for anyone to use. Would have been nice to say No scan no eatery I would have left and never let this review.

My wife and I go line dancing here weekly. It is a fun place to dance and get lessons, but dance floor could be bigger. The food is overpriced bar food which we rarely eat here unless desperate. Staff generally friendly if you don’t cause trouble. Very young crowd on Thursdays and crowded. We mostly just dance. Also their cover charges tend towards o fluctuate, so f this concerns you suggest you call first.

Great little dive bar we were staying at a hotel down the street and came in here for some drinks. A few different fights broke out security didn’t really know how to handle them very well. The staff is friendly. The drinks are cheap, but you’re coming to a dive bar so what more should you expect?

3 margaritas and a coors banquet was $85. They didn’t have a DJ. Just a playlist and lights. Cover was $7. This was on a Tuesday.

My friends and I have been coming here for about a year and a half for social dancing, but recently the establishment has been on the decline. Some months back, they started charging for entry when it used to be free–fine. However, on their Instagram page, they advertise that entry is FREE if you are at the door before 6 p.m. The DJ typically doesn’t come on until 7 p.m., so this is a good way to encourage people to come in before the big crowds start showing up. Recently they’ve been giving some friends of mine a hard time, and today I experienced it for myself. I got to the door with some friends, and the incredibly rude manager said “$5.” I told her and a rude security guard that that wasn’t right because the Instagram post said free entry before 6 p.m. (The reason I was showing up before 6 p.m. in the first place was for free entry.) She told me that there was a communication issue between her and the social media coordinator. She then started swearing and talking bad about the social media coordinator (who is also the DJ and one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet) behind her back.
I told them that you can’t falsely advertise one thing and then change the price at the door, at which point the old security guard said “Excuse me!” in a feisty tone, and the manager said “You’re working on not coming in here tonight!”, threatening to turn me away for arguing with them. They then asked me if I wanted to come in or not, so I begrudgingly paid the money and went in.
These actions directly violate California Business & Professions Code §17500 on false advertising, and §17200 on fraudulent and deceptive business practices. It’s not about the money–it’s the principle matter behind it. And you NEVER treat your customers like that.
Not cool, Whiskey River management. Not cool.

good place for fun, country nusic, mostly for young kids, families
but DON’T come here to eat! just dont. I made a mistake and thought it was a steakhouse, paid $7 of the entrance fee ♂️. they have only one steak size of a kids palm. and definitely not the medium as i asked. only one choice of the side – fries. paid about $40 with 25% tips included – not worth it

Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed this place when we went for our first time last month! Unfortunately we don’t go as often as we’d like due to him living in California and me living in Idaho. While we loved our time there, getting to dance, and being able to connect with some people who have shared interests, there were some issues I had especially with the dancing. I don’t remember the name of the lady who was teaching the line dances, but I do recall that when it came time to learn “country girl” (song by Luke Bryan), she had told the group of dancers that there was 1 and only right way to do the dance which as a dancer for over 14 years, that’s not true. Some people learn a different way than others and there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s the beauty of dance. I would encourage the company to find someone who’s more encouraging with choreography and not closed off. Other than that, the environment was comforting, the bartenders were patient and accommodating, the security was respectful, and it was an all around great night! I will definitely be going again!!

Good: Awesome bar staff. I loved seeing people have a good time and dress up. Even tho I dislike new rock type country music, I like that they mix it up and throw folk and old country in. Usually, I went on Wednesdays or early Sundays. Food isn’t half bad, and the deals on coors are great. Friends and I have gone quite a few times without issues. We are grown ups and know what Norco can be about, so politics and lowkey racists never bugged us as long as they weren’t going out of their way to cause harm. They exist. Comes with the music and culture.
Bad: Last time I went in on a Thursday, a little dude with an SS tat was hugging on security and talking smack to me. Didn’t think I’d get much help with security as his friends, so we left peacefully. I’m glad there’s a new joint in Riverside off Van Buren and Trautwein that opened up. Hope it doesn’t eventually empower that kind of behavior. I get they exist, but don’t make em that comfortable. This new joint will celebrate all. Even a Ranchero night, I’m told.

One of the few “authentic” feeling bars in the IE. Be advised there was a cash only cover when I went which wasn’t a big deal for me but I did see some people have to get turned away because they didn’t have cash.

The reviews say it all people. Nothing the owner or manager can say different about 3.9 star reviews and the horrible service.
