Whiskey River is a hiiiiittttt!!! First time being here and had a great experience. Had 4 different people check on our table during our time there, and they were all very friendly. Drinks were good, but the food was even better!! One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time! Even though it was our first time there, the staff made us feel at home. Asked if we wanted to hang out for more drinks after we finished, and were upbeat and acted like they wanted to be there! Keep up the great work!

Best reuben egg rolls I’ve ever had. Even though the only ones I’ve had but fantastic. And the fries are right up there with them. Service slow. Music got alil loud for only being 1:00 pm lunch crowd. Cater to the men more than anything. Which would make since with everything hanging out that is the purpose of attire. But kudos on the confidence. Good place to go

Absolutely my go-to bar, I’ve been coming here regularly for about 2 years now. The service is great and the staff is always kind/happy to help. The drinks are fantastic, the food is just as good, and the decor reminds me of a cool dad’s basement. We definitely feel at home here!

Their website says “Sunday Funday”, should read “Sunday Stay Away”. The website boasts about brunch, bloody Mary Bar, and $10 drink/food combos; no such thing. There is no bloody Mary Bar or drink and food combos. I ordered the Steak & Eggs which comes with hashbrowns. Steak was under seasoned but cooked to the right temp, eggs were fine, but no hashbrowns came out. There were 7 people in the bar so the kitchen wasn’t back up. The waitress wasnt sure if it was supposed to come with or not but confirmed the menu says it, hoping she was new. I was done with my meal by the time the hashbrowns came out and you can tell they were rush cooked. Seared on the outside but very undercooked in the middle. Overall, I hope people come here for the drinks because the food didn’t cut it.

They’ll clear all your songs from the TouchTunes queue to play bad music. Also smells like sewage 24/7. Would give 0 stars if i could.

Tried the rodeo Burger today they couldn’t put onion rings on it because the fryer was out of oil, they had changed it but didn’t check to see if they had more oil. Did not have barbecue sauce instead they added jalapenos. And the burger was burned, and completely dried out. Side choices were limited because the fryer wasn’t working. So they brought me lukewarm chili. Terrible experience today. The staff was jovial and friendly.

Went there for dinner with my son before a ISU basketball game. Got there at 6:15- bartender promptly got us drinks- we ordered by 6:30. at 7 I asked the bartender if she could check on our. food-She impolitly told us “we are very busy and food orders are 45 minutes”. When we were at the 1 hour mark I asked another bartender. She promptly checked and informed me it was another 10 minutes. At that point I had enough- asked for the check and told her they should inform us it was an hour for food. She had the nerve to tell me next time come earlier. I restated they should have informed.us- put $20 cash on the bar and started to wall out. She blurted out “don’t come back.” What am I crazy? why would I do that?

The food was delicious, but unfortunately that was about all that was exemplary about this place. We saw the waitress maybe twice during our hour here, which was odd because it was a Sunday afternoon and the place was mostly empty. Beverages weren’t refilled. One of the orders was incorrect…but we weren’t able to get it mended since the waitress was nowhere to be seen. The beer and mixed drinks are a bit pricey for what you get. I know it’s a bar serving a college crowd, but if you are going to be open on a Sunday afternoon and advertise brunch specials (bloody mary bar) you should really be prepared to offer brunch-level service.

The restaurant was not busy. Maybe three different people at the bar and one table. We had called in wings for to go and they told us 15-20 minutes. After 20 minutes we showed up to get our order and they hadn’t even started it but didn’t want to inform us that and said “we’re still working on your order.” Ten minutes of waiting and still no wings, we asked the cook in the kitchen and he said they were just getting started (40 minutes after we called).

Walked in for a quick bite…key word “quick”. We were not greeted for At least 10-15 minutes. The female bartender was too busy scrolling through Facebook and taking snapchats to notice there were customers waiting for service. We decided to go across the street for better service.
