We came in on a cold Sunday afternoon and so had the place almost to ourselves. It was very quiet. The service was excellent and Dane is an amazing server. He is entertaining and professional. And the food is very delicious. I had the shrimp rigatoni (yummy) and hubby had fish (this fish gets a 7 stars ) and chips. The fish was extremely flaky and not dry. The only issue we ( and I mean just me) is that my old fashioned did not have the orange garnish…I still drank it though We took the whiskey cake home. We will definitely be back.

My partner and I visited this place on a whim, not expecting to be blown away by EVERYTHING. The atmosphere, drinks, appetizers, entrees, and service were outstanding. We had the Speakeasy Margarita & the Great Escape drinks which were perfectly balanced cocktails. We had the Crab Fritters appetizer & shared the Steak Frites with Parmesan fries and added a side of the Mac & cheese. The food was DELICIOUS. We both couldn’t stop talking about how tender the steak was & how good the sides were. My partner never really eats Mac & cheese at all, but I was surprised to see that he finished the entire bowl of his at this place. Our server Miguel was fantastic! He gave us a description of what we were ordering as we ordered each item so we knew exactly what we were getting. We can’t say enough about how great he was from start to finish, this restaurant should definitely be grateful to have him as part of their team! All around, this place is just wonderful. We live in Jackson, MS, but we already are planning to make a few trips back here JUST for this restaurant! 100/10 stars!

Whiskey Cake is good! It was my first time here trying the brunch and it was tasty. Chris our server was fantastic! He recommended the goat cheese fondue which was really good! I ordered the Farmers Breakfast and it was everything I enjoy at breakfast! We also ordered the Champagne Problems Tower which was recommended by Chris and it quenched every bit of thirst we had! Overall the atmosphere, food, and service were really great! I will be back! Thank you Whiskey Cake!

My family decided to have our Thanksgiving dinner at Whiskey Cake this year. We really enjoyed everything! Cell and Alexis were incredible servers that tended to our every request with a smile. The candied bacon and the fish and chips were my favorite. Every dish was Hot and was fresh & we aren’t ever disappointed.Thanks for making our holiday right!

Ordered the salmon to-go from Whiskey Cake in Stafford, TX, and while the salmon itself was cooked well and nicely seasoned, the overall presentation was pretty disappointing compared to the menu description.
The dish was advertised with smoked oyster mushrooms and charred leeks, but what I received looked thrown together — sparse mushrooms, unevenly cooked potatoes, and leeks that didn’t really come across as “charred” or intentional. For a restaurant known for elevated comfort food, this felt more like an afterthought than a thoughtfully plated dish.
I understand to-go orders don’t always look perfect, but this didn’t match the description or the standard I’ve come to expect from Whiskey Cake. Flavor-wise it was fine, but presentation matters, especially at this price point. Hoping this was just an off night.

I had a really great time at Whiskey Cake! The service was great! Our waitress, Alexis, had an upbeat attitude and didn’t check in, when we were in the middle of eating a huge bite, which I really appreciated. The food was really good. I especially enjoyed the Wood Grilled Salmon, fries, and Fish N’ Chips. The menu didn’t feature any experimental or new dishes, just staples, which originally, I was disappointed about. The classic dishes (American burger), however, were done very well and elevated by Whiskey Cake. The ambience felt very cozy, you can tell there was a lot of effort put into the design. Very spacious, many seating lounges, and a central theme throughout all the decorations, showed the care that was put into the restaurant.
I went with my mom during on a Friday evening during Happy Hour, we noticed it wasn’t jampacked and still relatively calm. Perfect for a lunch date. I do have to say it was so cold in there! So, if you’re like me and like to be warm, definitely bring a sweater. Other than that, there are no down sides. Food was good, service was great, vibes were there! Would definitely come back! Can’t wait to try the Brunch Menu next!

Came into town for the “For King and Country,” concert. We knew we would be eating prior to the concert. There really isn’t any way to perfectly describe how impressed we are with both the food and service. My wife and I shared the Prime Rib and Gouda, plus a side of Brussels Sprouts. I was not expecting a sandwich, however, I would not change a thing from our order. Mouth watering and delicious. And the Whisky Cake? We shared a huge, generous portion, between 5 of us. The ladies all stating, “I only want one bite!” Yeah, before I could get this review written, the Whisky Cake was devoured. It was this good!!! Aaron has done a great service in hiring friendly, amiable, and kind staff.

My first time eating here. A truly fantastic find. The atmosphere was great, the food was excellent and the service was exceptional. The manager walked by and cleared plates off my table, always a good sign when management cares and helps their staff. I had a good server who answered all of my questions and made recommendations showing his knowledge of the menu. The gem to top off the experience was how good the dessert was. I am not one to rave about desserts but this was one of, if not the best dessert I have ever had at a restaurant. If you are considering dining out be sure and visit and leave room for dessert!

Had a lovely unexpected lunch here and enjoyed candied bacon appetizer and fish and chips. Everything tasted high quality and watch out bc you get an entire fish with fish and chips with their yummy homemade sauces. Whiskey cake was so luxurious and rich! Chris was our sweet server who was very attentive. And manager Aaron was so hospitable and engaging. Definitely will go back for the delicious food and the lovely staff. Highly recommend and will be back soon!
