Had the most amazing sister-brother lunch today! ❤️

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of great energy.

The service was top-tier, attentive, friendly, and incredibly fast without making us feel rushed.

The food?
Absolutely delicious. Every bite was flavorful and fresh. And the drinks were just as impressive were perfectly made and refreshing.

Great food, great service, great vibes. The perfect spot for quality time and amazing eats.

Highly recommend!

I’ve been here twice and I’ll go back a third, fourth, fifth…. Until I finally get diabetes and they cut all my toes off… then I’ll roll up in my wheelchair and enjoy it until I reach retirement age. That whiskey cake slaps!

Surprisingly the whiskey cake isn’t too sweet or overpowering. It has a settle taste that is complimented with the candied pecans and that WHISKEY GLAZE AND WHIPPED CREAM!!! That’ll keep you coming back for more like me and ultimately have wheelchair races.

My first visit was for brunch and the steak and eggs… (I can’t remember the exact name) was an explosion in your mouth! (Giggity)

The shrimp pasta was very tasty. The steak salad was so refreshing! Absolutely blew the taste buds away!!!

Went for early dinner tonight at 5:30 pm on Wednesday and luckily it was still happy hour so we enjoyed a margarita and guava gimlet. Both drinks were made with fresh squeezed juices and very balanced and delicious. For our meal we enjoyed the Flatiron steak with fries and the fish and chips. The steak was prepared perfectly medium and very tender. The parm fries were good. The shitiko pepper I wished were more fried. I enjoyed the house steak sauce and chimichuri. The fish and chips was a stand out for the Jax area. This was a delicious very British version of fish. The batter was light but thick enough. It was presented as one large filet. The fries were fine not British chips but good. They even had a great serving of malt vinegar. They have a delicious ketchup with mustard seeds that was a nice twist to the usual ketchup. The service was really lovely from hostess, to our waiter Matt, who was friendly, welcoming and efficient. Even the food runner was friendly and accommodating. I definitely would recommend for a great evening out. The atmosphere is lovely with a nice bar, outdoor seating and lots of indoor seating options.

Awesome brunch. The food was delicious. The drinks were great. And the whiskey cake is a must try. If you’re a fan of deviled eggs or cinnamon rolls get there early because these two sell out. The service was awesome as well. We’ll definitely be back again.

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar: Comfort Food With a Creative Twist

Some meals stand out not just because of the food, but because of the people you share them with. Our visit to Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar was one of those moments. We were fortunate to have all of our adult children together, which does not happen often, and decided to enjoy a special meal while Christmas shopping at the St Johns Town Center.

Whiskey Cake immediately caught our attention. The exterior is inviting, and the Airstream incorporated into the patio adds a fun, unexpected element that sets the tone before you even walk inside. Once seated, the atmosphere feels warm and lively, blending a down home country vibe with an upscale polish. It reminds us of places you might stumble upon off a back road in the South, just elevated.

The menu is extensive and thoughtfully designed. There truly is something for everyone, and the cocktail list is especially impressive. I ordered the Rosemary Paloma, which was refreshing and paired beautifully with the meal. We started with the jalapeño biscuits, which were a hit across the table and set a great opening note.

My chicken and waffles was easily one of the best versions I have had. The addition of an egg made it uniquely theirs, and the waffle itself had excellent flavor. Paired with real Vermont maple syrup, it was a standout. I also sampled the French onion burger, and despite not being a big burger person, this one was exceptional and something I would absolutely order again.

Not every dish landed perfectly. The brussels sprouts were undercooked and included sliced grapes, which felt unusual and did not work for us. The fried tomatoes were heavily breaded, masking the flavor, and Susan’s chili arrived cold and missed the mark overall, despite nice presentation. On the positive side, the sweet potato soup was enjoyable and comforting.

Service was good overall, though it was clear the staff was stretched thin due to the holiday rush. Drinks and refills took some time, but the attitude and professionalism of the team were excellent. Given how busy they were, we felt they handled things well, and we would love to return on a quieter evening.

Portion sizes are generous, and while the menu leans toward the higher end, the value is absolutely there. This is a restaurant that delivers a fun, memorable experience with plenty of highlights and just enough creativity to keep things interesting.

Had an excellent experience here. The vibe impressed us right away – great decor and lighting, then the service was attentive, polite, and also excellent.

The food was quite good, we had the hummus and the deviled eggs as appetizers then the prime rib sandwich for dinner. We probably should have stopped but had to try the namesake whiskey cake which was amazing.

Definitely want to go back and try more items on the menu, which apparently adjusts with the seasons.

It was out first time trying this place, and all 4 of us tried something completely different from each other. All of our dishes were large servings, looked and tasted great! We even tried the Whiskey Cake, and though I didn’t care for the nuts, it tasted pretty good. If I could change anything however, the cake would come with vanilla ice cream, instead of whipped cream. I also wish there were more meals, as the Rotisserie bird, Salmon, and Pork Chop were stand alones. You’d have to pay atleast $5 if you want a side…. And for those whose sensitive to noise levels, it’s quite loud inside.

From the moment we walked in, the hostess Erica greeted us with a warm, welcoming smile. She assessed the dining room to ensure we’d get seated “not in the back”. I so appreciated this as my son and I were in town for a funeral and I was a bit down. Erica replaced our menus proactively because she saw what she initially grabbed was dirty. This meant so much to me. Our server, Ashley A. was amazingly attentive but left us alone enough to talk. Perfect! The bar has levels of whiskeys and bourbons with a librarians ladder to reach the top shelf. Menus is local sourced veggies. Steak frites with parmesan fries were to die for. I had the salmon with fingerling potatoes and charred leeks. AMAZING. Warm Whiskey cake with homemade whipped cream and ice cream for dessert out us over the top but well worth it. It’s a feeling of upscale farmhouse dining. Excellent all around. Happy hour was extended this visit so I had the rum punch which took me back to days on the beach in Barbados.

I’ve hosted two business events at this restaurant—one lunch and one dinner—and both experiences were absolutely outstanding! Madison, the waitress both times, was exceptional and awesome! Her attentiveness, professionalism, and warm personality made each event run effortlessly. Excellent service, Madison!
The food is consistently top-notch, full of flavor, and clearly crafted with care. The atmosphere is inviting, and the service throughout the entire team is excellent! Loved it!
Several of our attendees have also returned on their own since our events, and every one of them has had the same experience: excellent service, delicious food, and a great overall vibe.
Whether you’re planning an event or just stopping in for a meal, this restaurant delivers a truly exceptional experience. I highly recommend! And ask for Madison!
