We have been to whiskey barrel multiple times especially for brunch. I remember years ago they had a sour patch kids margarita that I always ordered. We stopped in tonight for dinner since we haven’t been in a long time. I was so happy because they now serve espresso martinis, and they had decaf!! I will add my photo I took because this was the prettiest espresso martini I’ve ever seen! We had the brisket sliders, poutine and I had a Caesar salad with crispy chicken. All were delicious. My boyfriend was able to build his own old fashion which was really cool. Waitress says this is something they do on fridays. Waitress was very attentive while having the entire section of tables. I believe her name was Sarah. I love the decorations inside. We love whiskey barrel and will definitely be back soon!

F’burg Foodie
While staying in the area for business, I searched extensively for a restaurant with a “foodie” menu featuring unique dishes and eventually found this place. The menu is indeed intriguing, offering a variety of appetizers, handhelds, and entrées.

Upon entering, I noticed the restaurant was quite empty, with only a few other diners. I chose to sit at the bar, where the bartender attended to me. He provided some decent recommendations and gave an overview of the menu. Although he was friendly, he seemed more interested in conversing with another couple and later a co-worker, which affected his attentiveness to me and other customers who arrived.

I started with the smoked wings, which were excellent. The BBQ sauce was flavorful, and the wings had a perfect smoky and crispy texture. For my main course, I opted for the Kick’n Chicken Sandwich, but without eggplant, as I’m not a fan. The sandwich looked appetizing, but the bread was not toasted, lacking the crispy texture I would have preferred. The chicken was well-seasoned but the sandwich overall was dry and lacked flavor. However, the fries that accompanied it were outstanding – nicely crisp and piping hot.

Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would consider returning. This review would have been five stars if not for the minor service issue that caused some delays.

I stopped in for dinner and the nachos caught my attention. The wisky bourbon nachos with pulled pork and melted cheese. I received this huge pile of deliciousness. I was planning to get some food after swell but after letting that sit for a minute I diced that was enough food for dinner. I also enjoyed several amazing beers. The marzen style two roads octoberfest was my favorite. Bar service was great, I was glad to have several refills of water after a long day of work. The atmosphere was very chill and comfortable. Prices were very reasonable. Overall one of my favorite places on town and i hope to be back. Highly recommend.

Food was good. For an Englishman the portion size was very generous, we could only do mains/entrees.
The beer served here was good and our waitress (Lexi I think) was very good

4.2 overall

Great environment and atmosphere. A well rounded and diverse menu with dozens of whiskeys to taste. The pre-set whiskey flights are well priced and help take some of the guess work out.

Great app selection and the steak tips were amazing. Tender and juicy, paired with a rich sauce and very light mashed potatoes. Honestly…. make it bigger and a main. Great Sheppard pie alternative.

The mac was creamy and reach and reheated very well. The sauce maintained it’s consistency which I find rare for repeats.

The pulled pork grilled cheese was awesome! A fat stack of pork complemented by Great cheddar and pepper jack. The grape jelly was great on it. I’ve been promoting sandis like this for a while (Thanks dad!) and it didn’t disappoint. Nice to see that on a menu

I’ve been here a few times now and will say that the place is solid. However, don’t put poutine on the menu and call it poutine when you’re just gonna melt regular cheese on there instead dropping on real cheese curds and pouring hot gravy over them like it’s done in Montreal. That said, it was tasty but just not real poutine. The burger was good and the service was was the same. It was a slow day. I liked that I could get different sizes of beers. The place is a huge step up from the old Frog Pond!

After running around town looking for a club or bar to hang out at with my out-of-town family, we found this spot. It had a cool, chill, mature crowd, and the DJ was great. I didn’t get a chance to try the food—that’s the only reason for the lower rating—but I’ve heard it’s really good.

Plenty of space to hang out, grab a drink, and hit the dance floor.

Also, I’m a photographer—feel free to follow me on Instagram: @mr.3verything “

First time here, and I really enjoy the atmosphere. Large whiskey and bourbon selection. We started with the thick cut bacon and the poutine which was really good. I had the burger with the pulled pork and Mac and cheese and of course I added and egg to it. The burger was really good but the Mac and cheese was cold (I wasn’t expecting that). The fries are good but definitely go with the tater tots.
