I’ve been eating at Whisk for several months and a lot. I’ve had decent service with something small missing here and there but my last visit was terrible. I ordered online, arrived to pick my food up, checked in and waited for about 5 minutes. The cashier told me they only had enough chicken and dumplings for one meal and I ordered 2 of them so I replaced it with a chicken pot pie. I asked her to keep my side of carrots in my order because the dumpling meal was more expensive. She agreed. I waited for about another 20 minutes or so for my food. Once I got home there was 3 sides of corn to replace my two sides of carrots and they had spilled all in the bag and my truck due to a lid not all the way on. The corn was old and a lot of it was brown. The one chicken and dumpling meal looked like soup and fat from what it should be. The biscuit that comes with the meal was missing as well as our garlic bread with a lasagna meal in this same order. The pot pie was good as usual but that was it. I had to get my son dinner elsewhere because the chicken and dumplings were so bad. I called the owner (Peter) and explained this to him a day or two later. He apologized and offered me 2 meals at no charge because of this. He said to let the person taking my order know he said to give me the meals at no charge. So about a week later I called to place an order for lunch. Landon answered the phone and I told him what Peter told me to tell the person taking my order. He says let me ask Peter as he’s in the back. I waited and Landon came back saying he’s trying to find Peter. He ended up coming back again and says he can’t find Peter and he would have to take my name and number so they could call me back later. I was trying to order lunch and wanted what was due to me for such poor service and missing items previously. I asked if that was the best he can do and he says yes. I replied that I won’t be returning and ended the call. Peter should have let his staff know about this and could have left a note. I don’t plan to eat there again because of this. I hope anyone else eating there gets treated better. Unfortunate as the food and service is usually good.

I have been here on 4 different occasions. Each time I have been met with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Last visit I had the pleasure of meeting the owners. He is the chef (and does an amazing job). After we had ordered they insisted we try their bread pudding. They gave us a sample (which was a huge portion) along with a scoop of ice cream. I’ve not had bread pudding since I was a child and I have to say this was right up there with my moms! All in all this is a 5 star establishment.

Happened upon the local joint while in Keystone Heights, celebrating our 18th anniversary. We ordered the club, the thanksgiving sandwich and the Buffalo chicken egg rolls. Also had a tropical sunrise. Everything was delish! It all can tableside quickly and the food was hot! Will for sure come again!

Whisk Cafe was really friendly and very accommodating to our needs. We hosted our very first gathering at Lake Santa Fe kayaking with @EarthKinship ecotours and the owners of Whisk Cafe personally helped us come up with a menu that catered to different dietary needs: vegan, vegetarian, gluten free. The food was soooo delicious, I was surprised— by far the best homemade meals I’ve tasted in the Melrose/Keystone Heights areas. Highly recommended!

We just finished dinner @ Whisk Cafe…what quick, cheerful service. My grilled cheese & tomato soup were absolutely delicious!! My husband enjoyed the pork special, and we both had black & white shakes. He thought the shake was too thin, but omg, I loved mine. I’m already planning to come here again the next time we’re in this area.

This place is so clean and well kept. Staff is professional. There are gluten-free options on the menu. We have enjoyed several varieties of sandwiches and salads, all prepared well. The spicy buffalo wings are not actually that spicy. There are growing pains. This restaurant has only been open a few weeks in our small town. However, most of my experiences have always been positive with the taste and food.
The young workers inside the store are extremely kind and helpful. Every time there has been an issue with an order or misunderstanding the special requests, they have kindly accommodated.
One recurring issue is that the tapioca pearls in the boba teas are often undercooked. Almost every time we go, we order boba tea and I am sure this will get better as the weeks progress.

A friend and I came in last Sunday after church and we were greeted my the sweet employees! What great service and they helped us pick out our food and waited on us and made sure we were doing good. What great service and the Chicken BLT was delicious. I definitely want to come back and try breakfast and more of their homemade goodies too.

This is a honest review. Service was great, lady was super friendly. The place was super cute and cozy.
Spent $100 we just wanted something different drove from Hawthorne. As for the food My husband got the meatloaf dinner and couldnt eat it as the meatloaf tasted soured it was terrible.my husband also got a grilled cheese and said it was pretty good. The kids got chicken tender meals 3tenders w/fries lady said they were huge and they weren’t they were pretty bland as were the fries but for chicken tenders and fries they were ok. I got the Cajun turkey sandwich it was(excellent) and forgot my cold salad (macaroni salad) cause I was waiting til last to grab it since it was like a 20 min wait and they have them in a window thing out to the side for you to choose from different kinds so I was disappointed about that it was pouring and my hands were full so I didnt even think about it til we were almost home. Place seems like it has good sandwiches and probably soup but id definitely ask to taste test the meatloaf before ordering.

Oh my! First time going here the other day and I loved the food. I’m gluten free and vegan and they made me a gluten-free veggie sandwich with fresh cut potato chips. They also had a gluten free dairy free Oatmeal Cookie ice cream. Sooooo goood! This is my new favorite place. My sister ordered the fresh lightly battered chicken tenders and the fresh cut fries, she loved her meal also! Clean, good environment and friendly place! 5-STARS!!!!

Well let’s start with the total: 40.58! This includes 2 20oz sodas, 2 club sandwiches, 2 small hand full of fries, and 2 pickle spears. I even tipped the cashier 2.00. Like I said small hand of fries and the club, that was mostly bread( at least 2 inches thick),some lettuce and a slice of tomato, 3 small pieces of bacon, some cheese, and for meat a few pieces of shaved ham and turkey. Now mind you I mentioned that I had never been to their establishment. If this is how you impress new customers you need to brush up on your hospitality skills .
