We were told this was a must when you go to Decorah. Love the history of it and that it’s still there and is very well loved. I didn’t give it five stars cuz I didn’t think the ice cream wasn’t exceptional. But it was a great stop and I’m glad Decorah still has it and it’s a very popular place!

The tornado was absolutely delicious. The ice cream seems a little bit different than your average dairy Queen. We ordered a pineapple, black raspberry, cheesecake tornado. We will definitely stop back in if we’re in the area.

Delicious! Out of town and stopped here in the middle of exploring the parks around Decorah. This is little walk up food/ice cream stand- DELICIOUS! We got the walking tacos and the hot dog (they ask what you want on both) and both were really good! Also got root beer float and a cherry dipped cone with chocolate ice cream that didn’t last long enough for pictures. Cheap and quick service too! Got everything before we even stepped away from the window

We stopped by after dinner for desert. This place was delicious. The ice cream was delicious. The fudge brownie was also delicious. We definitely will be coming back.

They have good ice cream don’t get me wrong, but the place has been turning into a cash grab. They make LOADS of money every year and never have updated the building. Workers rely on tips. 7 dollars for a tornado with cookie dough? $1.25 addition for half a scoop of chocolate chips? They raise prices EVERY YEAR. Stop following corporate America. Cost supplies are NOT that high, even Culver’s you can get a large concrete mixer for a dollar+ LESS.
