Btw, I’ll be ok if you don’t share the homemade tartar sauce recipe for now… but we may have to come to terms in the future if that’s ok. 🙂
The seafood boil was similarly underwhelming, with a noticeable lack of seasoning. It felt like it was just cooked and served without much thought put into the flavor.
The prices were pretty steep, but we did get a military discount, which helped a bit.
That being said, the atmosphere was definitely on point – it’s clear they’re going for a fun, casual vibe. If you’re looking for a relaxed spot to grab a bite and don’t feel like driving all the way to NOLA, Where Ya At might be a decent choice. Just don’t expect authentic NOLA cuisine. We might go back eventually, but it’ll be a while.
Omg so freaking amazing !
My husband got the chicken chasers which we love with white sauce!
Please give them a try
This is a small little place, but right off the bat I loved that they proudly display a big sign out front showing support for our military — bonus points right there! We were first-time visitors and got free drinks on the house, which was such a nice touch.
We started with the Cajun Smoked Tuna Dip, and it was delicious! Perfect spice level, served on a bed of shredded lettuce, topped with fresh green onions, and paired with crispy tortilla chips. You could tell everything was fresh.
I ordered the Crawfish Étouffée and my husband got the Seafood Gumbo — both were seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. The toasted bread on the side was perfect for dipping.
We also got to sample the blackened swordfish (catch of the day), and wow… it was amazing. Perfectly seasoned with their house-made blackening blend, and the tartar sauce with fresh dill was the best I’ve had in a long time.
They also sell fresh seafood, to-go tuna dip, seasonings, and all the fixings you’d need to cook your own seafood feast at home.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. It’s a seat-yourself setup with both indoor and outdoor seating, a bar area, and they even have live music at times. The place was clean, laid-back, and had that relaxed coastal vibe. It’s order and pay at the register, then they bring your food to the table.
Overall, an awesome experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!
