We went on a Saturday night and it was the best meal both of us have had in years. Got the Royal Red appetizer with the garlic butter and I almost teared up. The seafood platter basket was as good as it gets, and the blackened Black Drum was fabulous as well.

Btw, I’ll be ok if you don’t share the homemade tartar sauce recipe for now… but we may have to come to terms in the future if that’s ok. 🙂

I stopped by Where Ya At in Navarre with high hopes for a taste of New Orleans, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite hit the mark. The food was just okay – nothing spectacular, but nothing terrible either. The chicken “wings” were actually breast meat cut into nugget-sized pieces, which was a bit of a letdown. The sandwich was really good po boy and the gumbo tasted all right

The seafood boil was similarly underwhelming, with a noticeable lack of seasoning. It felt like it was just cooked and served without much thought put into the flavor.

The prices were pretty steep, but we did get a military discount, which helped a bit.

That being said, the atmosphere was definitely on point – it’s clear they’re going for a fun, casual vibe. If you’re looking for a relaxed spot to grab a bite and don’t feel like driving all the way to NOLA, Where Ya At might be a decent choice. Just don’t expect authentic NOLA cuisine. We might go back eventually, but it’ll be a while.

Gumbo was great, awesome flavor. The grouper special was also good. Boudain balls were full of flavor. The tar tar sauce made the fish even better. Service was quick

Where Y’at Seafood – Hidden Gem Worth Stopping For!

This is a small little place, but right off the bat I loved that they proudly display a big sign out front showing support for our military — bonus points right there! We were first-time visitors and got free drinks on the house, which was such a nice touch.

We started with the Cajun Smoked Tuna Dip, and it was delicious! Perfect spice level, served on a bed of shredded lettuce, topped with fresh green onions, and paired with crispy tortilla chips. You could tell everything was fresh.

I ordered the Crawfish Étouffée and my husband got the Seafood Gumbo — both were seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. The toasted bread on the side was perfect for dipping.

We also got to sample the blackened swordfish (catch of the day), and wow… it was amazing. Perfectly seasoned with their house-made blackening blend, and the tartar sauce with fresh dill was the best I’ve had in a long time.

They also sell fresh seafood, to-go tuna dip, seasonings, and all the fixings you’d need to cook your own seafood feast at home.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. It’s a seat-yourself setup with both indoor and outdoor seating, a bar area, and they even have live music at times. The place was clean, laid-back, and had that relaxed coastal vibe. It’s order and pay at the register, then they bring your food to the table.

Overall, an awesome experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!

Our family comes here every year. They have some of the best fried food in the area! They don’t do oysters on Mondays. They have plenty of outdoor seating but very limited seating inside. If you’re willing to sit outside, it is great for a large group of people. The service is extremely fast and their staff is very welcoming.

My husband and I were recommended this spot from a local. We love Cajun food and figured Cajun seafood sounded right up our alley. Looks like a dive from the outside and kinda is but don’t let it fool ya. I can hands down say this was the best meal we had in Navarre during our stay. When we come back this will be our first stop for a meal. Service was amazing, food was amazing, 10/10 highly recommend!

I was blown away by the oyster almandine. The oysters were the juiciest, crispiest fried ones I’ve ever had, and they were perfectly balanced on a fresh arugula bed. Every bite was a delight- so unexpectedly amazing.

Food was excellent, I would prefer full service dining. Here you order at the counter and get your fountain drink and plastic utensils. The quality of the food was really good, great portions. The vibe is casual so come as you are! The hush puppies are amazing (see picture of empty basket)!!!!

We had a crab fest for lunch today; Dungenous Jonah and Snow, + Grouper cheeks, Maque Choux and Cole Slaw. Everything was expertly prepared and delicious! Even the dipping butter variations were on another level. Only wish we found this place sooner. A cherry on top of our Navarre trip!
