We went for lunch on a weekday and was worried with our limited time and the amount of people in front of us, but the service was fast and friendly. We got our order in and only waited a few minutes to receive it. I had a pork sandwich that was very tender and delicious. My lunch partner had turkey and pork which was also yummy. I tried their cream corn and would definitely recommend it. I tasted the potato salad too and it was very flavorful. We will definitely be back and I’m bringing a bigger appetite this time because everything I seen them bring to tables smelled and looked awesome and I want to try them all.

This place is my FAVORITE BBQ in Wichita. The staff are always friendly and in a good mood. The restaurant is always super clean. The food is always amazing! My favorite is the Atomic Spud, but occasionally I’ll branch out and get the Weekly Special. The last one I got was a BBQ Nacho Plate and it was SO good!

Definitely a 5 star restaurant for service and food quality! We stopped in late afternoon (after 3pm) for lunch and ordered a loaded spud and a smoked turkey sandwich. The staff told us up front the potato would have a 30 minute wait because they had a batch still in the oven – that was fine with us and we agreed to wait. Once we got our food, it was amazing! The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming as well. We drove from OKC for the day to do some things in Wichita and this was a great last stop before heading home. Will be back next time we come up I-35!

We love When Pigs Fly! My favorite is the pulled pig and cheese, but it’s a weekly special. When that’s not available, the turkey, baked beans, and creamed corn are where it’s at. The staff is great, super friendly.

After having been completely disappointed by Hog Wild and Two Brothers I came back to When Pigs Fly. The quality of the meat is incomparable to the 2 previously mentioned places. I got twice the amount of meat for way less and left feeling full and satisfied.

First time going here and well worth it. The place is very nice and clean. You can smell the meat cooking as you walk in. Food was delicious, cooked well, and warm. Staff was very friendly, let us know about the menu, picked up our trays, and checked in during and after dinner. Clearly they value their customers and they worked hard to provide for us.

When we were planning our wedding, we knew we would have a lot of out-of-town guests so we wanted them to experience amazing midwest BBQ. Our searching led us to When Pigs Fly. We met with Brian and Kendra (the owner’s) for our tasting and they sat with us for over an hour telling us about themselves, what brought them to start their business, their experience with weddings, and ultimately how they will go above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was flawless. Everything they told us held true. They tailored the menu to exactly what we wanted. They traveled over 2 hours to our venue and the food tasted so good you would have thought it just got done. It was amazing! We got so many compliments, not only on the food but also on how wonderful Brian was! He was fantastic with all our guests. He brought the wedding party waters while we were busy with photos. Brian and Kendra started as our caterers but after the wedding, we consider them friends.
