The town that Wheelhouse is in is incredibly small, but cozy. This restaurant has everything AND the food is fantastic! You’d never expect a place like this in such a small town. They closed early one night for a reception they hosted, but saw us coming up the walkway and let us get a few drinks. They have a variety of live music outside of the main dining room so it’s never overwhelming. They have lots of outdoor seating and yard games like life size beer pong and life size jenga. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, no matter what you order they’ll try to make it to your exact needs.

My family stopped by last weekend for the first time and we were extremely happy with everything. We went on Sunday during the football game and they were nice enough to move tables together for us so we could watch the game, they also have game day specials as well and I highly recommend the beer cheese pretzels. All of our food was delicious, and came out quick. Our waiter was great, he put up with dad-jokes and was very friendly. The owners were very nice as well and came by and chatted with our table before we left. I highly recommend this place, and we can’t wait to go back when it’s a bit warmer to go to the Tiki Bar.

We had a great experience at this recently-opened (reopened?) restaurant. Even on a limited menu, the selection was fantastic. The crab selections were delicious (we had the crab dip and the crab Cobb salad), and the taster platter was ridiculously good. The kids’ menu is small but worked perfectly for my picky eaters (and the wheel icon grilled onto the hamburger bun was a cool touch!). The games on the lawn are a really fun way to spend time, and the “tiki bar” outside seating and Adirondack chairs offer a great view.

This was our family’s first visit and we were very impressed! We tried the bbq chicken wings that were smoked, the crab dip was creamy and the fish dip was just right. I had the brisket tacos and my husband had the meatloaf sandwich. Delicious! Will go again!

My favorite meal is softshell crab sandwich so I took a shot. It’s early season so the crabs are tender but you need to cook them right and not use too much sauce, esp. Old Bay. This was the best softshell crab I’ve tasted. I could eat that all day! Friendly staff and happy customers, so great ambience. Also they have a lot of outdoor games for the kids.

Attended a event Town of Rock Hall Holiday Party. We were in a room separated from the regular dining area which was perfect for our group. Served a buffet meal of garden salad, crabcake, roast beef, bread and a baked chicken. Private event dining area would be perfect for accommodating office groups, club meetings, etc. Room was large enough to hold approximately 50-75 people- 75 for a meal plated and served; 50 for buffet set up.

Rolls were dry and crumbly then sobby. Soft crab and crab cake sandwich didn’t have much flavor. Great atmosphere and service. Yard of games for older and young alike.

Must have been an off day, based on the reviews we read. Really a cute place, and a slew of wonderful yard game activities for kids and adults — while nice, family live entertainment was offered in the lawn stage. But after that, the wheels fell off of this Wheelhouse.

While lots of folks enjoying themselves at the tiki bar, listening to the music, there couldn’t a been more than 4 or 5 tables throughout the whole place, indoor and out,, with diners in ‘em, si no reason for slow or inattentive service me-thinx.

When we arrived we had to wait a few minutes with no one to greet us at the host station. We then waited long to order food, then long to get the food, then excruciatingly long to get the check to get the heck out, with no wait-person in sight for a good 15 minutes.

One of our white paper napkins came with fingerprint stains … the crab soup was cold and cup size at most (although we ordered a bowl) … my shrimp taco had 3 measly shrimp … and I wish they’da warned me better on the menu that the imported beer and spiked soda came in cans that I had to pop-top open (I hate canned beer that I had to pop open as if I were in a 7/11 parking lot). The salad wasn’t bad but the bacon was rubbery and dripping in grease.

Like I said, it must’a been a bad day — but every eatery (their food, service and especially their overseeing management quality) is on trial every day from every guest, and on this Memorial Day weekend, the memory of theWheelhouse didn’t leave me popping any wheelies …
