Good Ol’ small town restaurant. Great food homemade with lots of specials each week. We support local suppliers and promote small farms. Try our world famous pies since 1929! Biscuits and gravy for breakfast and amazing burgers for lunch. We are open every day from 6am to 3pm except Sunday from 8am to 3pm. We are closed only on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years’ Day. We will soon have dinner hours and delivery service within 15 mile radius starting in February 2026. More to come!

My mom got us to go and when she arrived with the food we sat down at the table to eat. Tell me why when I open the to go box the burger patty was so flat and such bad quality. When I took a few bites it’s like I was eating just the lettuce and cheese on the inside, you could legit see the cheese poking through the patty that’s how flat it was and I’ve had way better burgers for 10 bucks than this at a good quality farm restaurant. Like idk what brand of patty’s you are using but it needs to change when you guys run out of them, honest to God. The fries are good btw edit: you’re funny, I exactly order the wheeler burger like I wanted in the first place and this is what I received. Told my mom already and she told me to just eat it cause she heard another woman complaining saying she order a wheeler burger and not a smash burger and my mom told me that they didn’t fix the woman’s order since the cook is cooking whatever he wants to serve. I told her that is unacceptable and I don’t want someone who’s like that to handle my food. So I will not be having food from there again. Good news for you tho, my mom however most likely would.

It took 45 minutes for our two burgers to come out. Husband ordered the smash burger. The meat had a very strange taste, not rancid, but tasted like it was seasoned with cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. It was also horribly overcooked and edges were burnt and crumbly. Fries were fully cooked but very soft. The only saving grace was the waitress did not charge us for the smash burger because it was inedible. Bathrooms are located outside and down the side of the building, for which a key is given, upon getting to the bathroom, the door was unlocked anyway and did not lock from the inside. Toilet seat was round and the toilet is oval, unclean toilet, sink and floors. Will never go back here.

We went to breakfast this morning. When the waitress brought us our menus, the first thing she had to tell us was that due to new owners, many of the items on the menu including biscuits were not available. I had walked in intending to order biscuits and gravy. So much for that. Instead, I ordered what is a favorite of mine which is country fried steak. I received just one patty with gravy, two eggs, and two pieces of buttered toast. The eggs and toast were good, but the tiny portion of country fried steak was the worst I ever had. Apparently the cook knows nothing about salt or pepper or any other seasoning. It was tasteless and tough. Properly prepared food like that should not need additional seasoning. I am comparing it to places like Denny’s and Bob Evans who both get an A+ for their country fried steak. Our waitress was very good so I left her a good tip. Lack of inventory and poor cooking was not her fault. I did explain to her that I was not happy and that I would never be coming back to Wheeler’s. I am cutting down on the amount of food I eat for health reasons and I am upset that I wasted calories on such a bad meal. I probably wouldn’t go back even if they offered me a free meal. Wheeler’s used to be one of the very best. I’m sorry that they no longer are. Don’t waste your time, money, or calories on that place!

Great atmosphere and service at this restaurant at the center of town. Great old fashion feel to the place. The food was freshly cooked and tasty. We visited on Valentine’s Day (2026). It was busy and we were understanding. We sat outside because we had a stroller and to get inside would have been too difficult. Large step up. We were told it would be about 20 minutes before they came to get our order. We waited. Then about 20 minutes after we sat another group of people sat outside next to us. They got their drink order taken right away. Then they got their food order put in before us. When the food came out their food came out at least ten minutes before ours. Then when ours did come out, mine was the wrong dish. My husbands plate had a large hair stuck to the bottom of the plate. So disappointed and aggravated. The food saved this review from a 1. My husband got the smash burger. He devoured it. He loved it. I got the blt, fried cabbage and spicy cauliflower. The blt was just what it was. No frills and no complaints. The spicy cauliflower was ok. Not what I expected. The fried cabbage was amazing. The best thing put on the table for the day. Would I visit again…low chance because of HORRIBLE service.

We have been going to Wheeler’s for breakfast for years and when we went in this time we discovered they have new owners. While we used to absolutely love going to Wheeler’s, this time left more to be desired. While the waitress was friendly and we received our food in a timely fashion the food overall was not what it used to be. I ordered scrambled eggs, but they came out not scrambled- more like cooked over hard and then cut up. Additionally, the biscuit was much smaller and was burnt on the bottom. This is not good nor bad, but there are many subtle changes to the food such as their hashbrowns are different, the way the omelet is prepared, and the biscuit. The menu has changed and prices have increased. Truly the food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t exceptional like we have grown to expect from Wheeler’s in the past. I know taking over a business comes with challenges, but I hope the kinks get worked out soon!

Been to Wheeler’s a few times and I am not sure if it is new ownership or not but it was delicious!! We had a burger and chicken strips and fries. All very good! Will be trying breakfast next time.

In the middle of downtown Arcadia, lies this little gem. The waitress was great! Letting us know the specials & giving us the low down about the small gift shop located inside the restaurant. They sell fresh baked whole pies, candies & jars of honey! The food was excellent & so was the atmosphere!
