Good food, big portions and eating with some of America’s finest soldiers!

Absolutely amazing! Great food and workers. Slways room for improvement on the food. Love the decor.

Food is usually always raw, especially the chicken, only meal they actually cook good is breakfast, hours aren’t correct on here, portions are tiny, like for a child not a full grown adult in the military, the workers don’t wear gloves while serving, the fresh fruit is usually rotting, the sandwich stuff is old, cheese is hard and the meat is slimy. Getting 400$ taken from my paycheck is wild with this quality of food.

Dfac has gotten much better since when I first arrived in 2019. The current staff is very friendly and enthusiastic, they genuinely seem to enjoy their job which it makes the experience that much better. Thanks for all you guys do!

(**Update**) since coming back from a deployment this dfac has done a complete 180. The food is excellent, and there is a great selection. I definitely feel that I’m getting my money’s worth from eating here.
(2 years ago) I got food poisoning from here. I won’t eat here again .

Ate here about 5 times, 3 of them being the breakfast because it was the only meal I could swallow without cringing. I’m sure if you test different things you could find tolerable things to eat but I’d rather know what I’m eating is to my taste. Back to the home cooking for me.

If you’re reading this, go to 2bct dfac if you have a car. If that dfac was like eating at a restaurant, this one is high school lunch. It’s hit or miss here and the cooks are surely less happy having to serve food. They hate their job and don’t even wear gloves.
Trust me food is good sometimes. But there are bad days. Your biscuit at breakfast will probably break your teeth.
At 2bct you serve your own (better tasting) food, the cooks just ensure things don’t run out. They don’t wear gloves because their job is to stand there, joke and have fun, and replace things that go empty. Go there just 1 time and thank me later.

At FDNY on TDY. This was one of the two DFACs we were directed to eat at. Were told to use Wheeler Sacks on the weekends for brunch from 0930-1330. You get to the DFAC and they are turning Soldiers away because they open at 1130, despite those hours not posted anywhere.
The food is actually really good, turning away Soldiers because hours are not posted correctly is not.
