I had the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had in my whole life today! Way to go Wheatfields! My wife’s hash browns were a little well done but the ham and eggs were perfect! My sons and grandson’s meals were very good. They had a half of a Belgian waffle, eggs, bacon and a roll and a sweet roll

Wheatfields was recommended to us by friends — that was a great suggestion! Service was good and the food was delicious. And they have cool light fixtures.
I ordered the Butcher Shoppe Quiche which comes with a Struedel and a side of baked apples. For my Struedel, I choose Blueberry. It was served with fresh, housemade whipped cream — totally delectable! The quiche was great too, with plenty of chunked ham and a good-sized sausage. The accompanying hollandaise sauce was terrific to boot!
My wife had the Omaha’s French Dip. Healthy amounts of thin-sliced tender beef topped with Swiss cheese filled a long baguette and she liked the au jus flavor too.
We plan to return in the future.

Had their entire menu many times. Including desserts. Not a bad thing to say. The owners and staff are wonderful people. The hidden gems are the soups. The chicken jalepeno is sensational. Nice dining room as well. No matter what meal you want, you will be satisfied

Went here for dinner last weekend with a couple friends and overall it was a pretty solid experience. The place has a relaxed American vibe, nothing fancy but comfortable. I ordered a burger with fries and it came out hot and cooked the way I asked, which I apreciated. Fries were crispy, maybe a little salty but still good. Service was friendly and not rushed, though it did take a bit for refills when it got busy. Prices felt fair for the portion sizes. Not the best meal I’ve ever had, but definitely a place I wouldn’t mind coming back to again.

This was one of my wife’s favorite places when she lived in Omaha. We visited recently and had breakfast. The pastries looked amazing, and her Carmel roll was really good. She did mention that it used to have a lot more Carmel on it. She had the ham steak and poached eggs. I had the country fried steak. I loved that they had biscuits with it and gravy. There was a pretty decent crowd on a Saturday morning. We didn’t have to wait to be seated. We did not experience any of the negative things mentioned in other reviews about customer service.

They have every dessert you can imagine! They are all so delicious, especially the gluten free. You would never know their food is gluten free. I always get their gluten free breads, cake, brownies, cookies, cinnamon rolls, etc. They are so moist and NEVER crumbly. Hands down the BEST gluten free desserts I have ever had.

Wheatfields has dramatically cut back on their menu. Their cinnamon and pecan rolls need more salt in the dough. Overall, they still plate a good meal and you’re likely to walk out with a box of leftovers. It’s a good place to have a conversation with family and friends.

This is an absolutely amazing place for a beautiful dinner in or take-out. Highly recommend Andrew’s Chicken Enchilada Verde, but what ever you have, you must try a portion of Strawberry Wedding Cake! Simply Delicious!

WheatFields has long been a family favorite and a perfect place to celebrate Mother’s Day. While the restaurant is only open until 2 p.m., the deli is often open until 3 p.m., but not always. I never thought you could get good French onion soup to go, but they mastered it! We also got a tuna croissant sandwich and a gluten-free quiche. Both were delicious! The service was perfect as well. Not to be punny, but the icing on the cake was picking up some strawberry wedding cake cupcakes, one of several signature bakery items. I think I wish there was a Wheatfields near me?!
Fast forward seven months, for a return trip: When is the right time for lobster and crab cakes? Anytime at Wheatfields! I had them with their eggs Benedict served on their signature potatoes. It was so good! The yolks were slightly overcooked, but only for the traditional style of eggs Benedict. The creamy potatoes more than made up for it in flavor and moisture. A definite do again!
For take out, I grabbed a crustless quiche for two, chicken noodle soup with thick homemade noodles, a large cinnamon roll and a piece of strawberry wedding cake. The latter two should make it to family that couldn’t make it 😉 By the way, they have a decent gluten free selection. The few that I’ve tried have been delish! Lastly, they also have a party room for large groups.

Bought a gluten free cinnamon roll. Stale and crumbly. Very disappointing. Somebody needs to learn that you can’t leave GF bakery on the shelf for more than a few days. Someone who works there should sample the goods now and then and throw out the stale ones. Here’s a tip, GF keeps pretty good in the freezer for quite a long time.
I recommend against their GF bakery products. It’s luck of the draw. Not worth spending what they charge to take the freshness risk.
