I had high hopes, but was disappointed. We came in about 20 minutes before close. I love Reuben sandwiches, and was excited to try the Reuben (hot) here. My daughter got the Italian Turkey (cold)
The cashier was kind and friendly. The order was taken quickly, and food didn’t take too long to be prepared.
The presentation was fine, but my sandwich looked almost burned, but not quite. Once I took a bite, the predominant taste was burned toast.
The first loss of a star came because I had to remake my sandwich. I managed a restaurant years ago, and my unofficial motto was “a bite of everything on every bite”. Over 1/4 of the sandwich didn’t have any toppings at all.
The second loss of a star is because a large portion of inside of the sandwich was completely charred black. That’s where the burned taste came from in the first bite.
Other than the burned bread, I think the sandwich was okay. There wasn’t much spread, but the corned beef had a decent flavor, but was drowned by the char and the dry sandwich. I’ve eaten packs of crackers that left more moisture in my mouth.
My daughter said her Italian Turkey was 4/5.
I’m glad I tried it, but would be cautious about coming again.

Kinda pricy for food that doesn’t satisfy. Cost me 12$ for a BLT that was tiny…….not the cleanest area for eating either. The bread was also a bit charred and took some of the interior flavor away. I definitely will not be coming back to spend $12-15 on a very small sandwich. It would be cheaper to make it myself and actually have a descent portion of food.

The food was delicious, and the staff was nice, however they did mess up our orders. One sandwich was the French dip which had very little meat and we asked for cheese and onions and the sandwich didn’t have either of those on it. The other sandwich was a grilled cheese and they brought a completely different sandwich. I will say the portions are small for the price, however still very good. They have a little kids corner which was really nice!

I can’t say enough about this place but mostly I wanted to write in and highlight Alisa. This was my first time at Wheat Montana; the food was great, the atmosphere was cool, customer service was lovely. But I watched Alisa move through the room with ease. At one table, she greeted a regular with a warm smile, at the next table she took the trash away so this gentleman didn’t have to do the work, she wiped down the next table, and then at the last table, she talked with a woman who didn’t like her meal. Not only did Alisa ask questions and immediately jump into action to get her a new meal, she showed a lot of understanding with zero judgement. You could tell that Alisa was genuine and wanted to help/serve people around her. The world needs more people like Alisa!

This place is definitely a recommend must stop. The staff was just the friendliest and seemed interested in serving you. Had the French dip combo and that was a very filling lunch. Love the concept of having a really good quality lunch with a side and desert for an affordable price. Would love to see more establishments take on this model. We’ll done! Clean restrooms and clean establishment, even was cleaning while we we’re there!

What a fantastic little sammich shop!! Delicious homemade bread! My husband and I both had the Mighty Missouri and it was delicious, really hit the spot!! Highly recommend as a break from fast food or expensive sit downs!

0/10 experience I ordered a half sandwich and cup of soup. Asked for LIGHT mayonnaise and received a sandwich with a FAT GLOB of MAYONNAISE a sensory NIGHTMARE then I tried my soup immediately BURNED my entire mouth the. I was about to eat my pickle but didn’t end up doing that because there was a HAIR RAPPED AROUND IT not mine and to really put the icing on the cake when I opened my utensils the salt and pepper was open on the salt side and I spilled salt EVERYWHERE. Over all the ONLY thing that was enjoyable was my Pepsi 10/10 Pepsi.

Mmm wheat Montana knows what they’re doing. I usually order a few standard but not necessarily easy to make items from whichever place I happen to be reviewing. This time I went with a Reuben sandwich.
Their Reuben came out pretty much perfectly. Crispy and not soggy. Good portion of meat, kraut, and thousand island. Would highly recommend to the Reuben on rye crowd.
Chips are nice and crunchy, not overly salted. Pickle and chips comes standard with sandwich and are a great combo!

Food was pretty good. I had the bisquits and gravy, and my wife had the breakfast sandwich with bacon. And we got a flaky cinnamon roll for later. The price was very reasonable. We will be back here, and we recommend trying this place. UPDATE: THIS PLACE IS AMAZING THE MORE I TRY THE MORE I LOVE LOVELOVE THIS PLACE TRY EVERYTHING. THE STAFF AND FOOD ARE PERFECT.
