Such a great atmosphere when you walk in. The amount of flavors they offer is exactly what an ice cream store should have. The endless possibilities of what you can make along with the toppings makes this a must visit. The other added items such as cakes and frozen ice cream cones makes this place exactly what you’re looking for when you visit an ice cream store.

I should be in my pj by now ready for sleep but I just couldn’t close my eyes before letting the world know I just found my ideal sweet spot.
This place has the best homemade ice cream in America I have ever tasted.
I have a very delicate palate and find everything to be tasteless but this place supersedes exceptional.
It puts a new taste and spin on peaches ( which I absolutely hate) but I tasted their cobbler and I am tempted to planted a peach tree…… delish, smooth, no ice just ice cream.
They have all different flavors my husband got the Moca Chip,which he totally enjoyed.
I had to ask to meet the ice cream maker. Who came from the back to personally meet us.
Ben , the owner and sweet crafter, is a fantastic guy with a great personality. His team was pleasant serving with a smile and patience;portioning very adequate and cost efficient. Even the humblest of person could afford to indulge.
The ambiance was great , place clean, cool and very nice.
There was no dust nothing out of place .
The outside had these amazing benches nicely painted with beautiful potted plants carefully arranged, Couples of any age could enjoy a nice moment feeding each other the delicious treats.
They have birthday cakes and lots of treats the kids would love.
So whether you are looking for a family friendly place or a lovers hide away in the middle of homey town , just maybe you want a child to have precious memories celebration a birthday mmmmh does Grandma needs a sweet tooth fix? Definitely check them out you won’t be disappointed.

Best ice cream shop around on the island period! I stumbled upon this place on my way home from an open house. After getting a large cup with multiple flavors, I had to bring my family to try. Fast forward 7 months later, my family and I try to come here as often as we can. We travel over 25 mins. to get their ice cream and its well worth it. Tons of unique flavors, wonderful staff and great pricing. I highly recommend!

This place really rocks it really looks like it’s a franchise. Everybody was so friendly. The ice cream was so delicious you can tell it’s homemade. I love Dole whip and they have two great flavors. I really love the artwork. It was fantastic. What a show stopping place I must go again my family loved it.

DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK!!…So, for those of you that don’t know, I would come here as a teenager to get the best ice cream in town…not Carvel, and not Ice Cream cottage…and this was before Ralph’s or Baskin Robin’s was even a thought in this town. It was then called Ben and Jen’s… Remember the place?…well, fast forward 30 years, and they are at it again! I finally got a chance to get down here, and they did not disappoint… it is just as u remembered, in fact, even better. Better flavors, more flavors…and they have everything from traditional hard, soft serve, Italian ices, shakes, dairy free, and any toppings you can possibly think of. I am truly excited they are back in town, and it’s even better that Ben is a great guy and as hands-on as he was 30 years ago. I had a great conversation with him, and he even generously gave my dog a little taste of some ice cream! So, if you are a long-time local and remember the best ice cream…stop in and reminisce. If you are an ice cream fan, and looking for something better than the boring giants ( Carvel, Baskin Robin’s, or Ralphs) and want to support small business, than definitely try What’s the Scoop?…I promise you will not be disappointed…recommend 100,000,000%. Absolutely loved this place! All the ice cream is homemade right in the shop, and you can taste the difference, so fresh and flavorful. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient, letting us try different flavors before deciding. Their mango ice cream is unreal—made with 6 lbs of real mango chunks and bursting with flavor!! You can tell they really care about quality. I seriously can’t wait to come back and try more. Definitely a five-star experience!

The owner was our neighborhood Mr. Softee guy and was super nice then and is still super nice now! So happy for him and his new business venture, although we do miss him in the neighborhood, it’s still nice to see him at the store and his ice cream is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! My fave is the Rocky Road! My son LOVES his shakes! And my husband’s fave is the Dulce DeLeche! My daughter raves about his pistachio! We grew up on Ice Cream Cottage but it’s not the same anymore and What’s The Scoop blows them out of the water! Best homemade Ice Cream in the area now and definitely HIGHLY recommend! ❤️

Out of curiosity me and a coworker stopped by Monday 10/27/25 to see what the scoop? Had to offer. And I’ll be the first one to tell you!!!! The ice cream, the customer service, the vibes were immaculate I loved how passionate the owner is when it comes to her business. The flavors of ice cream are top notch you will not find a better selection of flavors anywhere. Everything was fresh and taste absolutely delicious (we got to taste some flavors) ☺️ my personal fav was pistachio and carrot cake ☺️. I pray that God blesses this business and it’s owners ☺️

I has the pleasure of having this ice cream with my husband because it is right around the corner from my house and it was excellent!!!!! The blueberry cheesecake, the banana, and all the other flavors they have is so nice. I’m impressed that the banana ice cream is made with 12 pounds of real bananas and I’m just impressed with the naturalness and the Homie feel of the place. Holly who was our server was very pleasant!! We will definitely be back!
