Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

For the longest time, I avoided Whataburger. But a good friend said this location makes them right and to give them another chance. Well I was impressed, got a double and could not finish it – ton of meat and the burger, toppings, even bun were exactly what I wanted. To top it off, they are open 24 hours, and I was able to get this amazing burger very very late.
The service (drive through) was glacially slow. The small crew apologized and were very friendly, not the typical tuned out teens, they did seem to be trying and I appreciated that.
So for what it is, a great burger, decent price, open late, they get those 5 stars. Did I expect ambiance? No. Top service? No. But I would return and I appreciate the crew doing their best. Wish it did not take 20+ minutes for my order though).

The only thing they got right was the fries. I would expect better from Whataburger considering I worked there. They need to reeducate their team on cooking times. My chicken was raw and gummy luckily I tore it in half and realized it before ingesting the food. My drink was just sweet tea when I ordered half sweet and unsweetened. Just ruined my lunch hour. Do better.

It wasn’t busy at all. Food is decent, I like that the burgers are huge lol. It’s cheap decent food and open 24 hrs. Can’t complain too much. I did have an upset stomach after but that was on me for eating chips before a meal lol… service was fast, I went at 3 am and there was 1 guy working. He was super nice and chill

Over charged for bacon when the drive through worker said it was with the sandwich. They are extremely slow and have workers walking right in front of vehicles to take another vehicles food. Very unsafe I am not sure that Osha would be to pleased to find out how you have no moral compass for your employees and there safety. And the quality of food is not it at this location. Fries cold and given small order when paid for medium. I will contact Osha to make sure they are aware of the employee drive thru also contacting health department on the quality of food.

The burger was good. The fries over salted. I had put in my order (order at kiosk) for 4 regular ketchups. Got 1 regular and 1 spicy. When trying to get it corrected, they acted like I was attacking them personally. Please retrain and do better.

Probably one of the worst Whataburger experiences I’ve had in a long, long time.
I had a coupon for a free pico de Gallo burger with fry and drink.
I really can’t do spicy so I asked them to leave the pico de Gallo, cilantro sauce and pepper jack cheese off.
I wanted to replace those items with mayo, tomato, pickles and onion along with american cheese.
They wanted to charge me for the regular cheese, even though it was a straight across the table swap.
When I advised Phillip about that he eventually got upset and had to get his manager.
Things were corrected there but when I got my order, the burger itself was cold and poorly wrapped. The French fries were also cold so I asked for fresh ones.
I was advised they would bring them out to me but after 10 minutes they never did.
I had to go back up to the counter and again ask for fresh fries, which did come out but about 13 minutes after my tray was brought to my table.
I came to this location for a pleasant experience but it couldn’t have been farther from that.

*edit* recent visit still 5/5. Been coming to this location for years. If you want fresh made to order food everytime you can count on them. Also excellent customer service. Never had a bad experience.

I don’t know what happened to Whataburger but our dinner was horrible. Fries were served cold. My chicken sandwich was chewy. My diet coke was the only good part.

Don’t dine in they seemed more occupied or focused on drive through orders which caused a long wait for help inside for a online order that was placed and wasn’t started till I got there. Very nice staff though very pleasant once I was helped.

I went for breakfast. We went through the drive thru. Not only was it $29 for 3 breakfast biscuits and 3 orange juice, which is ABSURD. But I sat at the drive thru window for 10 minutes. Nobody opened the window. Nobody said hi. Nobody took payment. Nobody even acknowledged that we were at the window. We drove off. The service was awful. I put 1 star for the food because we don’t know. We didn’t wait on the food.
