Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

My visit to Whataburger on 2901 Bell was an absolute delight from start to finish. I stopped by for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait in the drive-thru. As soon as I pulled up to the speaker, I was greeted by the cashier with a cheerful, welcoming voice: “Welcome to Whataburger! How can I help you today?” Her friendliness immediately set the tone for a positive experience.

I placed my order for a classic Whataburger, and she politely asked if I needed anything else. I said no, and she thanked me before inviting me to drive around. Before I pulled forward, I decided to adjust my order and asked if I could add the new Frosted Berry drink. Without hesitation, she responded, “No problem at all! What would you like to add?” Her accommodating and professional attitude made the process smooth and enjoyable.

When I reached the window, she greeted me again with a bright smile and asked if I was enjoying my day. I told her yes, the weather was beautiful, and her kind attitude made my day even better. She laughed and shared that the Frosted Berry drink had been quite popular lately, which made me even more excited to try it.

After receiving my order, I stopped inside the restaurant to grab napkins and check out the dining area. The inside was spotless—tables were clean, the counters were organized, and the entire staff worked efficiently. I also had a brief interaction with the manager, who was polite, attentive, and visible on the floor, ensuring everything was running smoothly.

Overall, my experience at Whataburger on 2901 Bell was excellent. The service was fast, friendly, and professional, and the food was fresh and delicious. The entire team created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made a quick meal feel like a pleasant outing. I’ll definitely return for both the great food and the outstanding customer service!

The absolute worst experience I’ve had. They had about 5 employees, slow line, and the food was horrendous. Not sure how that’s possible when fewer employees put out a better product in my experience. I didn’t even get ice in my drink. Im not even sure if that’s gravy or not. My breakfast was definitely ruined.

I hope this review goes directly to this particular location because they knock customer service out of the park!
I have been to a handful of locations in Texas and none provided service like this Arizona location. Every single person acknowledged me and asked if I needed anything. I was waiting for a little bit more coffee for my iced coffee and 3 other people asked if I was being helped. Customer service isn’t what it used to be, and this location reminds you what it really is. The food, of course, was outstanding.

Went thru drive thru,3:30 am the guy working was friendly, service was fast and the burger was made perfect, I got a patty melt with out onions, I’m being 100% when I say that was DELICIOUS…!! haha definitely recommend trying it…

Stopped in because i was taking a dear friend with memory issues. She wantwd whataburger biscuits & gravy! Sadly we were 45min late. The sweet girl “Erica” behind the counter saw the need and made the suggestion of dipping gravy. Woohoo saved the day! All the employees were kind and made us feel welcome! Bravo to this Whataburger staff!

I’ve been eating jalapeño cheese whataburgers for over 50 years. The one I was served today was the worst ever. No cheese that I could taste and an overwhelming taste of mustard. Worst whataburger I’ve ever eaten. Staff was great though. I’ll be going to the 43 ave. location from now on I guess.

I’ve literally only been here 3 times in my life…went for some late night eats- my burger was nice & HOT & my apple pie was perfectly crispy & hot. Could tell food was being made fresh since I had to wait more than 5mins, but didn’t mind. My fries were warm & nicely salted, were a tad flimsy but overall this location served good food considering it was a busy/WMO ⛳️event weekend. Didn’t get my receipt, but the young kid in the drive through was friendly & courtesy for it being 2am-ish . Will be back

I usually do online orders so it be somewhat easier for the fast food restaurants but my lord this location always messes up my food it is truly insane. I understand we all human and make mistakes but there comes a time where enough is enough. Yeah this location not great would not recommend. I have had to email or call support to get my money back. Ridiculous. Order from here at your own risk.

Waited forever to scrape my rim on their drive through curb! HUGE curb sticking farther out than any other drive through I ever been through. If you have aftermarket rims or tires BEWARE of this place. Try to get close so you can get your order and you already messed up. Fix your drive through!

We come in and order and 4 groups of people who ordered BEHIND us have gotten their food before us. We got 2 kids meals and 2 sandwiches,not like it was a massive order. Then don’t tell you some of the stuff you added was extra charge. Plus when we finally got our food, we were missing French fries, had to go up to tell them and then they still forgot to make our fires.
