Whataburger

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

I found a wataburger in Amarillo Texas. First time I’ve ate here. I wasn’t disappointed in the portion size. I ordered a double burger and was surprised how big it was the French fries were also large and filling. Overall a great burger joint. I definitely recommend trying it out if ever in Texas!

Overall, my experience at Whataburger was outstanding, and I can’t wait for my next visit .I recently discovered that Whataburger was one of the few restaurants opened 24-hours. For a late dinner, I was truly amazed how fresh and delicious the food was. Alexis, thank you for your amazing customer service. From the moment we ordered, you created such a great welcoming atmosphere. Thank you for your recommendation on the shake. We appreciate how attentive you were to our needs and you’ll be the reason we will return!

First time at whataburger. The whole family was looking forward to it. It was our first time trying it. Our food took about 30 min to come out. There was only 1 other couple in dine in and maybe a car or 2 in the drive through. I’m not sure what took so long. It could have been because most of the staff was hanging out in the dining area instead of the kitchen.

I had never had it before, I was presently impressed! I used the app. and got a free burger!!! The burger we got wasn’t some little dollar sandwich, like I figured it would be. It was a large burger. My dogs love Whataburger now as much as I do, as they ate half of it! My chicken sandwich was hot and fresh and had all the right amount of stuff on it. There was a lady that pushed in front of me when we went to get our food. And I think the “kid” working thought I was with her. I had to speak up to get our food and she got the hot, fresh onion rings and I got the ones that had been sitting there. But it is what it is. It was an honest mistake. Overall, I now like Whataburger. Next time I get around one, I’ll probably go back. The prices, for what you get aren’t bad either.

This is the worst whataburger I’ve ever been to. All the employees have attitudes. It takes a long time to get your food. The burgers are soggy and cold, if they can get your order correct. I have been to this location 10+ times and never had a good experience. Go across town or go to Taco Bell.

Been hearing about this place and on a recent roadtrip had the opportunity to find out for myself. Customer service could’ve been better. Experienced a longer than normal wait time for my meal. Burger was ok, nothing extra special. Fries were average. But I will say the portions were Texas sized and filled me up.

Good grief! This place was a cluster. There were 8 people working and it took 25 minutes to get our 2-person order. At 10:30 a woman announced “no more shakes tonight, I’m taking apart the machine”. I looked for the sign that indicated that shakes weren’t part of their 24-hour service – never found it. It took two employees to work a single register and two to get straws for us. At the end, the food was bland and dry.

I am 6’1″, 280lbs & I stood in front of the counter for over 10 minutes till a thin young man with curly took my order. A lot of employees but no one saw me, go figure. I thanked him for taking my order. The food was delicious, but the service was lacking. Tables could use a cleaning.

Food was good. This is my second time out west/down south and at a Whataburger. It’s also the second time it took over 20 minutes in the drive through with only a few cars in line. Culver’s also makes their food to order and even they don’t take that long. The food however, is more than worth the price. Just not the wait.

Don’t go to this Whataburger right now the Tall white older men is rude… I went to the drive-thru as soon as I start my order The man was rude and had a heavy braiding with a tone I get to the window he hands me my food.. He didn’t offer me anything just hand me my food and drink I asked him for ketchup He turned around with the attitude and grab it for me then when I double check my bag I asked for napkins? When he gave it to me he looked me whit a ugly look.. Then he cuss me out when I was driving off…
