Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I am writing to express my disappointment with order #538811, placed on 05/31/2025 at approximately 7:48PM. I ordered the #1 Combo with extra mustard, mayo, cheese, and no vegetables, but received a dry burger with soggy bread and cold fries. Despite requesting condiments, I was informed they were in my bag, which was incorrect. The unprofessional attitude of the Whataburger employees is concerning. The food I received was not worth the money I paid, and the time spent in the drive-thru was wasted.

We had a great experience with the service at this location. I was amazed how the food came out fresh and they didn’t mess up our order like other locations have. Food was barely hot and we ate there didn’t even taste like it was under the warmer fries were almost cold but we don’t want to send it back didn’t know what we will be getting back.

Ask for a Cobb salad with grilled chicken and they gave me lettuce with a spicy crispy chicken patty then they took a half hour to bring it out to me. A horrible experience. I did not get my money’s worth.

The drive through took almost an hour. We waited in line 10 minutes before ordering, then around 10 minutes before we even got to pay, then another 30 minutes at the window. It was ridiculous and when we asked how much longer they said I don’t know and when we talked to the manager they basically said oh well you’re not the only customer and was making excuses. When we finally got the food, they burned my chicken and sent it out. I refused to try and go back because of the staff and how argumentative they were and how long it took in the first place to serve me burnt chicken.

I like their iced coffee for the price, and if you get a potato taquito with no cheese, it actually tastes nutritious and filling. My toddler likes the pancake! They even surprised us with these iced coffee coozies! How sweet!
I just really don’t like the taste of the food at whataburger. It tastes like everything is made of plastic or grease. The chicken tenders are mostly crunchy coating, not enough chicken. I keep having to come back because my husband likes the honey butter. Oh, and they’re the only place I can get a Dr Pepper milkshake.
