Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Went in about 4 pm on Wednesday 9/24. Manager would not give me the free kid’s meal (with whatameal purchase) to take home to my kid because he was not there in-store, when they would have given it to me through the drive-thru to take home to him. I just like eating mine fresh and hot there in-store. Guess free kid’s meals get taken out of the manager’s paycheck. Employees who piss off lifelong whataburger customers are not assets, they’re liabilities!

The guy at the drive-thru has a humorous and clever little introduction that he shares with you as you pull up to the speaker before you order. It elevates the whole experience of ordering fast food at this Whataburger. The food prep is a little slow but it comes out fresh. They maintain a clean and healthy premise and appear to focus on quality and customer satisfaction above all.

I usually hit the drive-through here, but today I decided to dine in — looking for a little familiarity. I ordered my usual, and the cashier, a wonderful lady named Sunni, pointed out the specials and helped me with such ease and happiness. Her energy was contagious — fun, kind, and genuinely helpful.

I know it might seem small, but people like her can really melt away that layer of anxiety that shows up when you walk into a place. As I sat in the dining room, I noticed how clean everything was — spotless, organized, and clearly cared for. While I was writing this, Sunni was literally wiping down seat rails, restocking, and keeping everything moving. Nonstop energy.

The food came out fresh and hot — easily one of the best experiences I’ve had at a Whataburger in a while. The manager looked young but was clearly running a tight ship. It’s a rowdy bunch, but in the best way — solid teamwork, fun energy, and everyone doing their part.

I’m listening to her talk positivity to a customer now. She’s great☺️

One of the best experiences I’ve had at a Whataburger, felt very welcomed by the staff, based on the Orange shirt the older lady who helped me with my order should be promoted to a manager position, because although there was an issue with the ice machine, she went above and beyond to help each customer reasonably timed and very happy to help, would definitely come back!

Update; We’ve been here countless times and the food is usually pretty good and so is the service.

Came here for lunch on October 14th to try the new Chili CheeseBurger. It was pretty good. I expected more chili sauce to make it moister or juicer but it was nearly dry. The onion rings were pretty good.

No 1 was good and the double with fries. were definitely crispy and fresh, no complaints☺️. Customer service was ok and the ensure you make time to wait. There’s always a line. Food was good, though. So as long as you’re willing to wait 15-20 minutes, then you’re good. Spicy ketchup was good with three fries, too.

Night shift is always great I stop by once or twice a week for my breakfast on my way to work at 5:30am and they always have a smile on their face and make sure if I need anything else with my order definitely a lot better experience then most other Whataburgers
