Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Im not even from McAllen and I wish we had this type of friendliness where I live. I placed my order online in the parking lot walked in at sat down and was greeted right away and asked if I needed anything…wow never had that happen . I did not get her name but she was very friendly. Too bad she was wearing a black mask to hide which I can only assume is a wonderful smile under that mask. Thank you !

Terrible service. Waited for curbside over 20 min past my order ready time that I placed on the app. Went inside and my order was sitting under the counter. All my food was soggy and my burger was incorrectly made even though the receipt had my order correct. Thanks for nothing from my local store

I love the food, but this location has been horrible, it has been 6-8 times in a row where they don’t add cheese on our order. They don’t seasoned the meat correctly and I will be driving to the Nolana location from now on! We spend an easy $80-$100 on our family meals!

They use to mess up all the time on my food and sometimes they still do but they are always prepared and ready to remake it and they own up to iltheir mistakes they even one time remade the entire order that was for delivery and favor driver took off with it and the manager of the store dropped off the food at our house he was really nice and understanding that is why I’m giving it five stars excellent customer service I order there a lot and they already know it’s me calling to tell them to make sure everything is correct and they do and they are super nice

8/10 times the fries are fresh but my review is to highlight Vanessa. She took my order and although it was late, she was in high spirits, all smiles, and full of joy. In a world where we’re all struggling and overwhelmed and everyone resorts to unkindness and rudeness, Vanessa was a breath of fresh air. What an asset to this location! Hope she gets a raise!

I love Whataburger, it should be the Official Burger of Texas!!! I had the Green Chili, Bacon Burger, my Son had the Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger. Both Burgers come with double patties and cheese, both were awesome. We love their fries and pies! Everything is fresh the buns are perfect and you have a good selection of add ONS to choose from. Plus, you can customize your burger at no extra charge like toasted bun, or extra veggies. If you are visiting Texas you gotta give them a try.
