Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

There is no way. We received a burger with no patty. Called the restaurant several times and no response. Mind you, this was after I drove up without stopping, thinking it was a pick up order so it was ok and the drive thru person got mad and said “next time tell me on the drive thru speaker”.

The order consisted of : a Whataburger Jr., toasted brioche bun, extra pickles, extra raw onions, extra grilled onions, extra tomatoes, light lettuce, mustard, light Mayo. The patty looked like it was boiled, dropped, and put back together. They left off the raw onions, put light grilled onions, extra lettuce, regular tomatoes, no mustard, almost burned the bun. I ordered a large French fry. They came under cooked and not full. A side of gravy which tasted watered down. When I pulled up for curbside, I checked in on the app. They have parking space numbers you select on the app, so they know who is who. Three time they walked out and asked for my name. Even ordering ahead of time, had to wait 20 minutes. I watched people walk in, and go through drive through and get their food faster. The lemon pie was probably the best I have had at a Whataburger. Weird. Guess you have to look at the bright side.

Period. I don’t know if they got new management, but ever since a couple of months ago the food has been amazing. The burgers, fries—everything, even breakfast—has been so good. Service is quick and consistent, and I never have to wait long. Honestly, I think everyone there needs a raise for the great job they’re doing!

The New Whatawings were Whatajoke! The worst new food item Whataburger has ever introduced. It’s chicken tenders with your choice of sauce that they didn’t even cover them completely. They are boneless, too. The price is ridiculous, good thing I didn’t pay. I used their free coupon.
