Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I gave this whataburger a 1 star review because they refuse to get something to block the sun. You can’t enjoy your meal because the afternoon sun just beats down in your eyes. Please, enough is enough, get some window blinds! Ugh!

OMG…it was super busy but that team was working & getting food out hot & delicious. Customer service was awesome…team member bringing out food & asking if condiments, napkins were needed with a smile ever with so many people in the restaurant. A+ service!!

Whataburger is interesting indeed. I mean you have your burger kind and McDonald’s, but I feel Whataburger is a notch up from those establishments. They have really good burgers and fries. The shakes are pretty good too. I would highly recommend their breakfast burger or sandwiches. Uuuuugh the breakfast is so so fire.

Wanted to try this place for a long time, travelling from Canada …. This place did not let me down. Excellent burger, fries were the same as any other place. I recommend of you haven’t tried it, you should.

The girl working the drive thru at 10 pm on Monday night was extremely rude. I ordered one drink and that’s all, when i drove up to the window and realized i asked for the wrong size, there was absolutely no one behind me so i was gonna ask if i could get the right size. i apologized and asked if i could change it and she just stared at me, i let her know that if it was a hassle it was okay, i would just pay for the large. but she just turned to the computer and sighed loudly while slamming with attitude on the computer. she had an extremely ugly attitude and turned me off from this location.

Before my flight back home to Chicago on 4-20-23, I sought my final meal in San Antonio. I happened to find it at a San Antonio-based fast food institution, Whataburger.
Because it was my first time at a Whataburger and there were plenty of items on the menu that I was considering, initially, I did not know what to order. That was solved by the very friendly order taker, Peggy. She suggested the Patty Melt, which was one item that I considered getting. I accepted her suggestion and ordered the Patty Melt combo. The sandwich was so delicious that I returned to Peggy’s register to order a second! Although the taste of my meal was pleasant and enjoyable, the friendliness of Peggy and the other employees on duty at the time made my visit even more enjoyable! I will return to this Whataburger location during my next visit to San Antonio.
