Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

If it weren’t for the fact, it takes 20 minutes to get your food, this place wouldn’t be so bad. The food tastes good and doesn’t look like slop. However, 4 other people got their food in the 20 minutes I was waiting for my food. All I got were biscuits and gravy with egg.

My husband went & got us food and when they took his order they was rude and rushing already. Get home and the fries are raw still. Not cooked all the way. Called up there asked for the manager and she said there’s nothing they can do if the chicken was cooked all the way through & was rude. The manager‘s name was Lupita. If you don’t like your job, get a new one it cost nothing to be nice. I usually don’t do things like this but we pay for the food so we expect the food to be cooked all the way. I never go out to eat anymore and this is why, customer service is poor along with the food! Order # 528413.

Food was meh…basic as usual.. however I ordered a salad and a side of large fries and it took them 20 minutes to get our order… 3 cars behind us get their order before us, then they finally bring the order to us and it’s 2 burger meals..so we take it back to wait another 10 minutes for a prepared salad and a large fry.
Kids were not paying attention nor made it their job to make sure the order was correct.

Growing up I was a diehard Whataburger fan. Something about being “Texan” made it seem right to go to the establishment. The BBQ Chicken strip sandwich with a strawberry malt was my go to. The past 4 times I have gone, my order is wrong, it takes at least 20 minutes to get my food, and the food is subpar. The food wasn’t very hot and tasted old. Stale fries are the worst (seriously it’s gross haha). The workers are always friendly however, so no problems there. I just think the quality and training has gone downhill since they got bought out.

We frequent Whataburger Lake Jackson alot, the service has gone down hill these past few months. This morning I ordered a Breakfast burger with no bun, usually the burger will come constructed as a burger just no bun, today the cheese was on the tray melted and we were missing all of our hashbrowns. I called and had to talk to the manager to get it remade with him saying “We will do this, this ONE time” since it was after 11….not my problem. Got the remade home only to notice neither had a burger patty!!! Neatless to say, we will not be returning to this location.

Lake Jackson location, has good employees everyrime I come through from Houston I stop , the burgers are always HOT and fresh and the fajita chicken tacos everything is fresh it made take a extra few minutes but it’s worth the weight thanks CASHIER – Jesse B
