Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I just had my meal at Whataburger today. The food itself was good — fresh and tasty, no complaints about that.
However, the customer service really disappointed me.

When I walked in, I asked the staff what the difference was between combo #2 and combo #8, but the employee couldn’t clearly explain anything that would help me make a choice. I ended up ordering #8.

Then, when I selected a few sauces, no one mentioned that there would be an extra charge or that the portions might be too much for one person. I was charged extra for those sauces without any advice or clarification.

It’s not about the small amount of money — it’s about basic customer service and professionalism. A simple explanation or recommendation would have made the experience much better. I hope the management can train their staff to communicate more clearly and help customers make better choices next time

I wish I could leave 0 stars . I ordered online . Upon entering to pick up my order I asked could they do no salt fry she happily said yes . So ten minutes have passed and I asked excuse me is something going on with my order she said what do you mean I said I been waiting 10 minutes for a online order which was currently at 15 minutes since putting the order in the girl looked at me and said give it a second I asked a second ? She then rolls her eyes and goes and gets my food . Mind you the manager was standing right next to her . My food had been sitting back there so the fry lady is just standing there doing nothing. No communication nobody running out orders. My fries were cold with salt on them . Who knows how long my order was sitting back there and of course while I’m eating my fries because I’m starving I had to force myself to eat them there was hair in them . Brownish black hair just like the lady working the fry station. Now I wish I would have believed all the bad reviews for this Whataburger . Poor customer service poor quality. Everyone obviously hates their job it appeared . Will not be returning.

24-hour Texas burgers since 1950. Love the jalapeño burgers with mustard and specialty burgers that change year round. Combos have an option of onion rings or fries. They also have seasonal shakes with exceptional flavors. Their breakfast menu is good too and the biscuit and gravy is popular and affordable.

Whataburger’s spicy ketchup is so good they sell it across the country in Walmart. It’s the only ketchup I like.

Whataburger makes fresh food so it’s not as speedy as many fast food restaurants. That little bit of extra time makes your food fresher. It’s a Texas tradition, y’all, and so beloved they have an online store.

Living out of state part of the year makes me miss it. Nothing compares though Sonic has some similarities.

The drive through service was slower than normal. Also instead of handheld credit card readers they took our card inside while we waited…in this fraud driven world, prefer to keep our cards close by. Staff friendly, food was Whata-consistent good 🙂

While I was ordering for my (family of 6) the old lady with the bad perfume was making an annoyed face. When the food came the fries were cold, the onion rings tasted old, the burger bread was toasted but the cheese was cold, the vegetables were nasty and my burgers came with all the vegetables and mustard. My family and I removed the stuff we didn’t like from the burgers but when I went and asked for a new burger for my daughter because she didn’t want it the same lady said I never asked for it dry and was hesitant to make another one until I basically had to read her the ticket and tell her I wanted a new burger like the one I paid for.

Ordered 1 meal from the Whataburger app. Food would be ready for pick up in 4-7 minutes. Waited for a long time in the curbside parking spot. Finally received my meal 30 minutes later. I should have just gone to the drive thru. It would have been much faster! At least the food was good and not cold.

Tierra was very friendly and personable but what really impressed me was her speed and efficiency, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that kind of talent in a drive through before. Management material for sure. The woman in the drive through was definitely not as friendly I wouldn’t even say she was very nice I think her name also started with a T. The food was great, consistent with company standards

6pm on a Wednesday. The place was NOT busy. Sat at the Drive thru for about 5mins and NOTHING, not a “we’ll be with you in a min” or “the hell you want!” Just silence. Spoke to the mic and nothing. Drove by the window and the girl looked bored as hell. Welp this place lost my business.

It must be hard to get good employees on the island cause service was crap. Unprofessional employees talking on their phones in the dining room. Standing outside the entrance smoking and cussing on the phone. Older location. Food was good though which I guess is the main thing.
