It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I will never return to this location. On January 15th I visited this location with my family. We ordered a #1 meal, #2 meal, and an 18 piece whatawings. I asked for everything to be fresh and for one of the meals to come with large onion rings instead of French fries. We paid, got our drinks, and went to find a table. As we were sitting down I noticed the French fries were not changed to onion rings so I went to let them know. After a few minutes we received our food and as we were sifting through the French fries we noticed a lot were undercooked or very raw. The whatawings were ordered for our toddlers and they were mixed with old and burnt. After finishing our food my Husband took what was inedible back to the counter to get remade. When showing one of the employees, who handles food he asked “what was wrong with it?…the obviously overcooked chicken and raw fries. Although the staff remade the food it made us furious that we were given the inedible food in the first place. Our children could have gotten sick.

I’m not sure what’s happened to this location, but over the last couple of months the service has just been really bad. There’s been multiple occasions where our orders are wrong, even after clearly telling them what we want—even multiple times—in the drive-thru. One visit, I repeated myself two times because they kept asking me to repeat myself, and when they read my order back to me, it was wrong and I corrected them again. When we received our items, it was still wrong.
We asked for large drinks, they made medium. We told them at the window, and the girl dumped the medium drinks into large cups and filled them up.. but since they hadn’t labeled the cups, the drinks got all mixed together. My boyfriend and I received half and half Coke and Dr Pepper.
Tonight, it was the same thing. Repeated order several times. Received the wrong order at the window, and they remade it. But tragedy struck when we got home and I began to eat and I bit into my burger and there was HAIR IN IT. I HAD A STRAND OF SOMEONE ELSE’S HAIR IN MY FOOD AND MY MOUTH. It’s just atrocious. It genuinely ruined my mood.
The ONLY reason this is not a one star is because they always have offered to remake our order. Although honestly after having SOMEONE’S HAIR IN MY MOUTH I don’t wanna come back here.

You can really tell she cares about both the customers and her team and My order was fresh, hot, and exactly how I asked for it. I WILL BE BACK!!!

Alright, I’ve given this location way too many chances. While I was waiting for the order the girl with the colorful hair and piercings was smoking weed with the car in front of me. When I got my order it wasn’t my drink. I told her and she didn’t change it just gave it right back to me after a few minutes like she forgot. And then she gave me a chicken sandwich with bacon clearly not what I ordered. Onion rings and no gravy. Everything was wrong.
Attached is my original order which I did not receive. I didn’t want to ask for an exchange because the girl was on drugs and I did not know what to expect. I hope someone contacts me about this because it’s very unacceptable.

The manager on shift at the time of around 4:40pm on Wednesday was super friendly! She seems to care a lot about her store. While I had to wait a couple of minutes, she wanted to make it right and give me a good experience.

I wish there was a no stars option, but there isn’t. This is the only reason I’m leaving one star the management is absolutely terrible at this location. They all should be fired. I was there about a month ago. I sat down. I placed my order sat down doing some work. I got caught up in work so I didn’t realize I didn’t get my food after 25 minutes of ordering it when I went up to the counter to inquire she said I am so sorry she was a new girl she just started, that was her explanation I didn’t make a scene. I just walked away. I got my food about 10 minutes later. I was at Home Depot and I knew it was gonna take a while to get my food so I went ahead and downloaded the app and placed my order I was in Home Depot may be 15 minutes longer than I expected so I expected my food to be ready when I checked in and they brought my food out. It took another 10 to 12 minutes. They didn’t bring ketchup so then I asked him to bring ketchup another 10 to 12 minutes so I got home hungry and I open my bag, it has one grilled sandwich and then one other sandwich made with chicken fingers, onions barbecue sauce, hot sauce I place the order online which was specific two grilled chicken sandwiches with extra Whataburger sauce. The one sandwich I got the other one was chicken fingers, onions, buffalo sauce, barbecue sauce I don’t know who place this order on top of it had pickles, but I hope someone in upper ownership comes down to this location and disciplines everyone here or makes the owners sell and higher all new management

I feel like this girl Tiwa (Cealy from color purple) played with our food and drinks last night I ordered our food. She was very rude and disrespectful to the PA system. When I got to the window I tried to remain humble, and I realized that the customer service is just not was going to be good. We received our food and when I got home, only one of my sandwiches was in the bag and the large drink that I ordered, which was Arnold Palmer it seems as if she makes a soft drink with lemonade maybe root beer lemonade I will be reaching out to the corporate managers today because I feel like she was playing with our food and that is just not right I would advise anyone not to go to this location. I was going to eat my fries, but being that my sandwich was missing and I feel like my drinks have been tampered with I refuse to eat anything. I will continue to make a Google review every day until Whataburger reaches out to me and does something rectify this because this young lady is gonna cause for this company to get a lawsuit. The disrespectful part is when I asked her if me or my family had did anything to upset her, she said no, with a very grim and mischievous smile on her face that was so disrespectful that it made me upset to the point where I could not even walk in the store because I was not sure that I was going to be able to communicate without yelling or using profanity so I decided to leave that young lady should not be working at the window directly with the customer. She definitely needs training in customer service but I promise I will not let up. I will contact every family member and Friend. I have to do a review on the store every day.
