Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Waited over 20 minutes around 6 pm for a basic meal, only to receive cold, stale fries. No apology or acknowledgment of the delay. Plenty of ketchup and napkins were included, but that does not offset the cost or the mismatch between wait time and food quality.

The food is Whata it is. I suggest ordering from the app though. When I speak my order to anyone, the staff doesn’t listen well and always gets it wrong. Too distracted and trying to do too many things at once. The ice is designed to give less drink so order without ice or half ice if you can. The app may not allow for no ice options. No drive thru pickups during the day, curbside only.

It was late at night, I was sick with a cold. I wanted something warm and soothing to eat. I saw biscuits and gravy on the menu, it has been a few years since I have ordered them. I ordered them, drove home, got snuggled up in my warm room (it was cold outside). I dipped pieces of my biscuits into my hot gravy. It was so good ! Enjoyed!! Thanks so much. Marilyn

Food is good and people are friendly. I use the drive thru and this time the food was ready quickly but often there’s a very long wait, to the point that they are asking you to pull around so others can get out. In fairness I usually order without sauce plus they supposedly cook everything fresh when you order. But I avoid this place when I want to get out quickly

Asked for my whataburgers to be ‘dry’ but added cheese. Adding cheese costs an additional .65 cents. They did not add cheese. The people working there are nice and I’m sure would’ve fixed it for me, but I was on the go, and didn’t check my food before I left. It’s sad that you need to check if they got your order right at a fastfood place, especially when you’ve paid extra.

Who cares about the atmospher when the food is so good! Just know that if you go after 9:00 p.m. it’s full of a bunch of kids trying to hold it together in case the cops stop in.
