Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I come frequently to this location but employees could use an automated cashier and or check in service for curbside orders. They get so busy there’s barely someone out front. Other than that service is great

It was my first time ever at Whataburger, and everything was so overwhelming with the menu when we walked in. We were helped by Ruby behind the counter, who was incredible. Ruby not only was patient and kind, but she made sure that I did not feel embarrassed by taking up time which made a line behind me because I did not know what to get or how to order. She walked me through the menu and even gave us her opinions on what items were good. Ruby even gave us a Whataburger keychain and a free cup for a souvenir as our first visit. My family thoroughly enjoyed the food, and we are very thankful for people like Ruby who work at Whataburger. As a first time visitor from another country, I truly appreciated her hospitality and exceptional customer service. We had a wonderful experience thanks to Ruby.

Everything was great…service, clean restaurant and yummy food. Only problem, maybe my imagination but the cups have changed -thinner and cheaper so hard to hold and tops don’t hold.

Decent place to get some not-so-good for you food. Keep in mind that the people that work there don’t really give much of a darn, but if you want some grease filled goodies day or night, this is the place to go. Don’t expect hasty service or beyond the call customer appreciation, but if you’re coming home from the bar scene it’s definitely your feel good comfort food (American style).

Management is on point here at this location. After multiple visits, my experience is that employees are doing their best, under very stressful circumstances with the high volume of customers they serve. One of the best run fast food restaurants in the area in my humble opinion. They do volume and quality, and that’s no easy feat.

Being a former assistant manger I was very disappointed in this Whataburger. We pulled to the window and no one was there. We heard laughing but no one was near, then the manager Stacy came to the window. When she finally open the window she told us she would get our drinks in a moment and continue to take an order on her headphones. Also when we pulled up there were cup lids on the counter by the drink station instead of the designated spot. I fear for the person who will be the last to get those lids. We waited longer than usual for a honey butter chicken biscuit meal with sweet tea and a #7. I truly expected more from this store being there was two people cleaning standing by the front door of the lobby.
