Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Did a curbside order at this location and the food was fresh. Sometimes you go places and order ahead and your food gets to you cold. That was not the case here. Staff were friendly, polite, and professional. I didn’t have to wait long and the food was good as usual. The manager does well training the staff and making sure the store is and service is top quality.

I was absolutely blown away as soon as I stepped inside. The art displayed by other customers and children showcased their customers’ high value. The staff was punctual and attentive, and the manager, Iris, ensured everything ran smoothly. When I received my food, it was the freshest I’ve ever had. The fries were crispy and golden, and the burger was steaming hot. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend this place.

I came to Whataburger on Gessner with a friend from out of town. It was his first time trying Whataburger. He was surprised on the taste of the burger. He wanted to come back more often.
The service was pretty good. Better than what I was used to in SW Houston. But there were homeless people in the corner making noise. We had no choice but leave the restaurant.

I had such an amazing experience here. I ordered and then sat down and soon Iris came out with my food with impeccable service. Asking if im doing good and if there is anything else I need, doing all that while having the warmest smile ive seen. The food will always be something I enjoy. Especially here, always doing things right.

Everything came out really good my food and my coffee came out within a few minutes nothing more then 10 minutes i love coming this store because nothing is ever missing and when it is the give me the unexpected!! amazing service and kind employees also did i forget about the food? The food came out hot and ready nothing cold only hot and enjoyable food yall should go and get you some fries or a meal it’s worth the money!!!

I just ate here for lunch. I went thrifty the drive through and ordered a sweet and spicy bacon burger combo with a sweet tea no ice. The cashier who took my order and passed my food back to me (edward) was quick and nice. However, he did not pay attention to detail so I ended up with a large sweet tea with ice. Sweet tea is life so that bummed me out. I don’t want my tea getting watered down before I get to finish it. But otherwise, my food was hot, fresh and on point! There was plenty of parking, two drive through lanes and there wasn’t a long line. Only 3 cars were in front of me in line a and nobody was in line b. So overall, good experience and will be back!
