Social Profile:

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

I mean if we paying almost $40 I expect to at least get a decent amount of food. Not even halfway of fries full and top it off they were cold. Wait time is so long!

Slowest “fast food” ever! Sat 20 mins in the drive thru. Fries cold with green spots (sign of toxic potatoes). I rarely go to Whataburger and stopped today just because it was on the way to an appointment.

Food was great as always no complaints. There was a girl I assume she works with the dining area. I liked how she greeted people in to the restaurant and said goodbye. But she did seem like she had to keep checking up on customers which is fine but this is fast food not fine dining. Management needs to go easy on her she is doing her best she seems stressed out dont put more on her.

What a great location. The staff here very professional and caring for the customers. The burgers are some of the best in town and way heavyer than those little California ones.

This location was actually fantastic; we went in instead of going through the drive-thru, because we’ve observed at pretty much every fast food place except coffee shops there’s always a line and it always takes forever. From the time we ordered to when we got our food was in line with other fast food places.

The young gentleman who served us was great, and when we mentioned the drive-thru situation his manager said it’s the unfortunate reality of fast food these days. People overwhelm the drive-thru and many locations are operating on skeleton crews even during peak hours so they get a lot of complaints about the food taking forever at the drive-thru which is supposed to be faster.

My reduction to 3 stars comes from 2 factors, both relating to the food itself.

We ordered 3 doubles, 2 triples, and 1 single with 2 sides of fries, 2 sides of onion rings, and 2 ordered of the prickly pear raspberry drink and the total was over 2x as much as we’d pay at other fast food places for similar items.

Secondly, the quality of the food did not justify the price. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it was not 2x better than a McD’s or BK. They also barely filled our fries and onion rings, and I ended up giving my prickly pear drink to my spouse because it doesn’t say anywhere on the advertisement for it that it’s made with lemonade; strong lemonade, too, which I really do not like. I wouldn’t have ordered it if I had known, it almost felt like a waste. And every fast food place that has similar drinks says “that’s made with lemonade, is that okay?” or something similar that otherwise informs me of that fact, in which case I’ll either decline or ask if it can be made with water (at places I know they make drinks to order, not probably having a huge batch of it pre-made like I think the prickly pear drink is) because I know I don’t like it. Can’t imagine the disappointment if I didn’t have someone who loved it to give it to, you know?

Overall the employees were fantastic, the place was clean, and going in we had the expected wait time. But the quality of the food is not worth what they’re charging for it.

I normally love Whataburger, but tonight I wa let down. I got soggy fries and almost burnt toast. The chicken fingers were over cooked and even after nuking them with saran wrap and moisture they were still to tought to eat. .

Normally I don’t comment on fast food. But today is the day. I have come to this Killeen location maybe 4-5 times over a 3-4yr period. Today ordered x2 patty melt meals. Look at my receipt time stamp. I was 5 cars back waited about 7-8min for them to go thru. Then I became the lead car in front, told to wait just past the window, 5min minutes later young lady came to my window with a drink. Asking did I order a drink. Already was given my 2 drinks. Waiting on food. She then called me someone else name. Then asked what’s my name on order. I told her, she said well what did you order, I smiled said x2 patty melt meals. She said I will go check on your order. Another 5-7min go by she comes back with bag. Now I know for sure after all wait time my food should’ve been freshly hot fries, freshly made patty melt. That was not the case. Fries were barely warm. This is not the first time this has happened. I saw dining room was still open but I just didn’t feel like getting out going inside and having to wait another 10min for them to make me some hot fries and new sandwich. Now I know why I don’t come here often. I used to tell people go to whataburger they make your food hot and fresh when ordered. This hasn’t been the case in years. Now I am officially one with whataburger. You have done this too many times. For $26 this is what I get. Nope never again. Years ago this was not the case food was always hot and fresh cause that’s why line is always so long and mind you there were 2 rows of vehicles this time. Not sure who got afresh meal, I bet none of them. Good job what a burger. You lost a customer on this one. Receipt time stamp no way it was 6min when I waited every bit of 20min to get this crap(explicative). I’m done with it.

I went through the drive-through tonight. I was the first one in line at the drive-through. I ordered a chicken wrap and a drink, after waiting for over 15 minutes I parked and went inside when I approached the young man and asked him what was taking so long on a chicken wrap, he said “I don’t know. We gotta cook the chicken” to which I replied. I worked in fast food before, it does not take that long to make, he responded again with “I don’t know I. We gotta cook the chicken” When I received the wrap, It had one small piece of chicken in it and wasn’t even very hot. I will never return to this Whataburger again. Y’all really need to up if you’re hiring Level. He then proceeded ask me “Do you have someone else with you” but why does that matter? His response was “We already ran it out to you”. I responded with,no, you gave me my drink and that’s it. If I could give -10 stars, I would.

Tried Whataburger for the first time…whatadisappointment.

I ordered the Bacon Steakhouse Double Whataburger. There was no seasoning on the burger and mine was so greasy. The grease was dripping out of my burger. I ended up not even finishing it because of the grease. Even without the grease, I was not impressed with it at all.

My wife ordered a patty melt. The bread, the sauce and the onions were really good, but when it came to the meat it was just blah.

My mother-in-law ordered the biscuits and gravy breakfast. She said it was similar to a Hardee’s biscuits and gravy. It came with hashbrown bites which were undercooked.

The shoestring fries were good though
