Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Stopped by Whataburger after a long day of off-roading in Bridgeport. We had a pretty large order, and overall the experience was good.
I ordered the Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger and it was great — fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I needed after being out on the trails.
They did forget my onion rings at first, but once I reminded them, they took care of it. The onion rings were slightly overdone — almost burnt, but not quite. Still edible, just a little crispier than they should’ve been.
That said, the staff here is very nice and the customer service is great. Even with the small issue, they were polite and helpful. Overall a good stop after a long day out.

This is almost a daily stop for me….. absolutely love the people that work here! As someone who used to manage a restaurant, you can tell that Holly ( the gm) really cares about her customers, she will come out and give the courtesy tray and bring orders…… all the staff that run the counter and food are always very attentive, friendly and try to get a smile outta you!!! Thank you guys for all your hard work!!!

I always get the sweet n spicy bacon burger. It’s usually pretty good for what it is. This time, I feel like it came out at about 130°. It seemed luke warm with the meat being just a little pink. Warm that thing up, the cheese didn’t melt! Also, can we get a QR code to notify staff when the toilet is covered in the last guys body fluids??? We need a janitor plz. Ty.

Hannah is the rudest manager there. Every time I visit, she has an attitude with me, and she rolls her eyes as if I’m a nuisance for her since she has to take my order. Shes also very rude to employees from what I’ve observed even from the dining room. Whataburger do better! I’ve been coming here since yall opened, and the food is always decent, but the management could be better, and it starts with managers who clearly don’t care about the customers.

Best burger in the Bridgeport Texas area and anytime you get it. These folks are so courteous, and go far far beyond expectations, especially when I lost a company receipt. You see, I purchased 20 Double cheeseburgers and fries with only a 10 minute notice due to my crew was working overtime late one evening. I lost my receipt and that is never fun turning in a lost receipt document. The management team worked hard to make sure I got a copy of my receipt, and texted a pic of it to my phone! I can’t say enough good things about this Whataburger location! Thanks again!!

We went around midnight and ordered for 4 people. It took minimum 20 minutes, now that would be understandable if any of the food was fresh but it wasn’t. The fries were old and hard and the patties were dry, they also didn’t give us any sauce like we asked for so I honestly just wanna know what the hell they were doing for 20 minutes since all the food was old and sloppily thrown together. I’ve worked for whata before and I know yall can do so much better than this, please consider retraining these employees or stop putting so many teenagers onto one shift, they cannot make food.

So sad I’m pregnant and loveeee whataburger but all I wanted to do was puke. My bun was hard and burnt, my chicken was dryyy and kept ripping in parts and overcooked , but I will say the fries and drink was great. That’s all. Yall need new people who know how to cook or train your employees better there is a tremendous amount of negative reviews. Very disappointing 🙁

Worst experience ever… Waited in line for a grand total of 47 minutes.. When I got to the order screen, the person asked me to wait a moment.. I waited for almost 10 minutes! Then I was like, ummm Excuse me… And the lady came back on the com and asked me to keep on waiting.. Finally 3 or 4 minutes after that she asked me what I wanted to order. I ordered 2 spicy Chicken sandwich combos.. 1 with onion rings and a large prickly pear, the other w fries and a large strawberry milkshake.. She then told me there would be an 8 minute wait for the chicken.. I said that’s fine, I’ve already been waiting for 15 minutes just to order… I got to the window and guess what?.. I just sat there for another 10 minutes… Noone even came to the window to apologize or to take my money or anything… Finally 12 minutes went by and a lady came to the window and took my money. AT that point she told me all of your food is ready, but there’s a WAIT ON THE SHAKE!!!! I said never mind just give me another prickly pear… Then they shut the window and… You guessed it.. I had to wait another 6 minutes to get my change, receipt, and food… at that point I asked for the Store Manager’s name and number. So that lady shut the window and told the on duty manager, about my request. She then came back to the window and told me the On Duty Manager was coming to talk to me.. I said ok, but I still want the store Manager’s #… She then shut and LOCKED the windows and I waited ANOTHER 10 MINUTES!!!!! The Manager finally came to the windown, and offered me my milk shake ( since another 10 minutes had went by, the milkshake machine was ready) i politely declined and again requested for the store Manager’s phone number… She then told me The Store manager was on vacation… I said I STILL WANT HER NUMBER!!!! She closed the windows and walked away.. And i waited …. 7 and a half minutes later she came back w an index card w a phone # w no name and said that was the number for ” The acting Store Manager” while the actual store manger was on vacation… I took it and said, that’s fine, I’ll come back in the morning and get the REAL store Manager’s number from someone else… Which I WILL BE DOING IN THE MORNING!!! WORST SERVICE EVER!! BTW I asked for spicy ketchup and got none nore did I get straws..and time i made it to my wife’s job to share a quick lunch w her, everything was cold…

Never coming back to this location. I don’t usually mind waiting a bit, but 40 minutes (for 2 meals and a kids’ meal) is a little ridiculous for a drive-thru. Food was cold when they brought it out. Not only that, but I got extremely sick after eating my food. I’m glad my toddler didn’t eat his food. Something seriously needs to be done about this location.
