Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

This chain is one of my top choices for late-night meals, yet this location often mixes up orders. You might need a little patience while they sort everything out, as things can arrive in all kinds of odd ways.

Once your meal is corrected, though, the food truly shines. Try the early-morning wraps, the savory meat sandwiches, and even their sweet iced tea — each item hits the spot after a long night out.

Despite the occasional mix-up, the flavor and comfort of the food make the stop worth it every time.

Decatur is one of the worst towns to get food in. Today I ordered the bacon wrangler burger, waited over 30 min at curbside for the order. Lady brought out the drink and walked back inside, leaving us to wait another 15 minutes. The lady got in the car with another coworker and left. We went inside and fetched our order ourselves and when I get home I get the DRYEST burger I’ve ever gotten. Ive gone here many of times and the service used to be good but has continued to devolve over time. Same goes for the whole food industry in the city of decatur.

i feel like this whataburger has gone down hill lately. my orders will be canceled without any explanation, missing items, LONG. wait times, and disrespectful staff treating each other poorly in front of customers.
the food is phenomenal but i am so so sick of waiting >20 minutes for food, or waiting >45 minutes for my order to be cancelled.

What a wonderful surprise. I loved that my salad was filled with so many tasty bits. Hot chicken with bacon. Truthfully, I ate at Texas Roadhouse several evenings ago. I enjoyed your salad more at fraction of the price. Well done Whataburger!

I had a very unpleasant encounter with the manager Juana today as she called me a liar to my face and said I had a history of calling in with complaints mind you I did make a call yesterday I asked for a manager because of course that is what you do when you have an issue common sense spoke to a lady named Tommie Juana told me I did not speak to her because she left at noon I just made this name up on my own I guess because I’m so infatuated with Whataburger employees idk then she proceeded to tell me I spoke with Noah 2 weeks ago I have no recollection all of this happened during lunch rush in front of customers highly unprofessional if I give you my money I expect to be served a hot meal especially if I’m waiting over 5 minutes at the drive through you are a 24 hr servicing restaurant fresh food is a must it was 1 am I get it your not to busy still not acceptable for cold food. I did however call corporate and spoke to a very understanding lady and she took care of the situation properly and professionally my advice for Juana she needs to learn customer service and she is definitely not manager material I don’t need hand outs or free meals as she insinuated I hope Juana learns from her mistake to treat people better and with respect and she definitely should never call anyone a liar

This restaurant was in need of a deep clean. It was pretty nasty in the 1 available restroom. I would prefer to squat outside in the ice and snow. Was eating my burger and watching the crew perform their duties, when my Aunt and I realized everyone was wearing glove to prepare food and picking up trash throwing it in trash can, and touching everything with no change of gloves or washing of hands. No tell what was being spread around all over the food.
I wouldn’t go there again.

Delicious. I ordered burgers and shakes. I tried the spicy ketchup wich is not really spicy. My order was prompt and accurate. Cashier was helpful when I ordered.
The place could use more cleaning. I’d like to think that they are affected by staff shortage because every team member was busy taking or making orders and they had a long drive through line.

When I go through the drive-through and order my food and then it’s not right, that’s one thing it’s totally understandable but when I go inside to tell them that it’s not right and they wanna call me a liar in front of everybody in the store saying that I never said that is actually really disrespectful When I know good and well, what I said I’m allergic to bacon. I cannot have bacon when I ordered my food. The very first thing I said was no bacon when I go inside to have them replace my burger and then they say I never said that when I say I definitely said it if you didn’t hear it I understand and they respond. No, you didn’t say that and get an attitude with me and then start telling me. I’m a liar. It’s rude and disrespectful and that’s why I don’t go in the morning

This particular wataburger is the worst. We ordered one meal and an additional burger at 6:00 for pick up. Said it’d be ready 6:14-6:17. Arrived at 615. Employee brought out drinks at 616 and said he’ll bring the food when it’s ready…6:29… still sitting there. As he brought drinks out for a car that pulled up we asked about the order, gave our name, again, and he brought us the order. It was wrong… can’t wait any longer, we just ate what we got. This place has multiple employees standing, looking around. Desperately needs some leadership and organization.

Not only was the store disgusting I was there for over 45 minutes waiting on my food. They placed it underneath the counter the only thing they had to say was oh well we didn’t put a number so now I get to eat my cold food I was sitting on the floor
