Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

It’s been 7 years since I’ve had Whataburger. I had many bad experiences since we moved to Conroe that kept us from going. Last weekend, we were visiting family and I don’t know what happened but all of a sudden my family and I were craving it. Let me tell you, wevdid not regret it!! Everything I ordered was perfect the way it use to be back then! I had the Avocado bacon burger meal and a garden salad. My husband ordered the triple meat burger meal. My eldest son ordered the Cobb salad. My middle son ordered the spicy chicken sandwich meal and my youngest had the whatachick’n strips meal. We enjoyed it. The workers at this location were quick and friendly, everything on point. No missing sauces, no missing food. If we’re in town again, this will be our go to place.

We visited here late night on 1/7/2026 and the staff practically bent over backwards to make sure we were taken care of. While it was very late they didn’t brush or push us away and when we had a few minor things wrong with our order they more than happily fixed them for us and quickly. I want to give a shout out specifically to Will and Angela who were the ones who took direct care of me and my friends. They were very professional and are stellar employees. Will absolutely be coming back again.
