Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

Cashier intentionally messed up my order. I was explicit with what I asked for. She kept repeating something different. I corrected her she said ok then over charged me for it anyway. I had to report for duty so I couldn’t come back til 7am the next day

I am struggling to understand HOW this was acceptable to put on food and send out. This lettuce is slimy and brown. It’s not something you can just miss. This is disgusting. How hard is it to pull out the bad lettuce? Pure laziness and disregard from the kitchen staff. They don’t have to eat it, so clearly, they do not care.

If there’s less than one star I definitely will put one star, I had a terrible experience at this Whataburger’s location earlier today. First off, the staff were incredibly short, only one person taking and preparing orders. I went through drive through, took to long to receive my honey butter chicken biscuit with coffee, they out of coffee, out of coffee cup lid, which he provided me with straw, coffee was tasted terrible like a hot water with a little of coffee, requested to have cream and sugar with it and was none, which makes me turn back after leaving and stood at the counter for over five minutes without anyone acknowledging me till the only person in the front noticed that I’m standing there and I left my coffee cup with him at his register desk. The chicken biscuit was uncooked properly. Definitely not coming back to this location anytime soon. And will never recommend it. Disappointing service and poorly made food.

Love the Jalepeno Cheddar Biscuit from his location. There is always a wait but the food is always fresh, so I dont complain. Its also right next to a shopping center that host alot of carmeets! Great place to grab a bite after one of those.

This Whataburger helps get people through the line faster by taking orders outside; this is much appreciated. The draw back is that every one of the outside order-takers seem to have a not so friendly attitude. However, the last time there (on a Sun) the person was a little more patient. Owner needs to reiterate that not all people know ahead of time what they want and have not yet read the items offered so oatuents is a virtue.

It’s a hit and miss sometimes at this pace. Most time the food is good though, and service different story. I have told them serval times can’t see all the breakfast menu because my kids want to see everything they have even if they haven’t changed the menu for years. They block it with advertising cups.

Placed a order on the app for biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs. When I arrived the kid came out right away with my food that was awesome. I drove away cuz I was getting it to go and got on the highway went to pull it out to eat on my drive and there was no silverware. Who gives somebody something to go with no silverware in it. So I called up there just to let them know you know it was missing before I checked my food. when I pulled my food out the scrambled eggs were not even a fourth of the way full. I have never been to a Whataburger that the cup was not full. the biscuit should have been wrapped in paper and it was just thrown in the Box. Oh and don’t even thing the food was hot, no, try room temp.
Okay that was last week today we went back there ordered a kids meal, justaburger, the burger was supposed to have mayonnaise, ketchup, lettuce and tomatoes on it. Specifically ask for fresh french fries. these got had mustard and pickles only, both specifically ask not be on the burger. The French fries tasted like they were a week old. I think they believe because it’s supposed to be for a child that the child is not going to complain about the horrible food they were just served but if I was a kid I’d be a little upset if I didn’t want pickles and mustard and soggy cold fries. I called up there and talked to Jesus who seem to be incredibly too busy to really even talk to me, even hung up in the middle of our conversation to ask somebody if they need to condiments. So this would be two visits in a row to this Whataburger that have just gone totally terrible Jesus did not even take the time to ask my name he just said well come on back up and I’ll replace it. Well I don’t have time to come back now. This location could use some assistance. Last note, the chocolate shake I ordered with the kids meal well they forgot the shake. Completely melted.
Shame Shame Whataburger you can do so much better.

This is the worst Whataburger out there i think. It’s right by my house so if I’ve got a craving I’m forced to go here. Ordered online. Should be ready in 10 minutes. Got there 10 minutes after ordering. Waited another 10 minutes for the food. Which makes no sense cuz there was almost no one there
And if it took that extra time, why are the fries and onion rings cold? Also do you ever change your frier oil? I’ve never seen fries or rings come out this color anywhere before. Disgusting. Then for the burger. Bacon burger with no tomatoes, add Jalapeños and mayo. But it came with no mayo. A couple tomatoes. And maybe a slice of bacon. With all the ingredients crammed into the middle. I hate this place. Maybe the one on 377 is better. Guess I’ll find out next time i want Whataburger. I’m done with this location.

I recently went through the drive-thru at Whataburger, but it wasn’t a good experience. I understand that fast food can get busy, but I waited around 15 minutes just to place my order. When I finally got to the speaker, the employee took another 8 minutes when he finally responded I began my ordering only to be interrupted mid order. I wasn’t done, so I had to clarify that I wanted additional items, which he responded to with the same abruptness.
When I got my food, I stayed polite and wished him a good night, but the experience only got worse. At home, I found they had left out the picante sauce I requested. I decided to let it go and use my own salsa, but as I was halfway through my burrito, I noticed a fly stuck in it. (I lost my appetite after that)
As someone who works in fast food, I know it can be hard during busy times. However, rushing customers and being rude isn’t acceptable, especially after such a long wait—and finding a fly in my food was just disappointing. I hope Whataburger will take customer service and food quality more seriously in the future.

Pulled through the drive through at about 10 AM. The kid’s attitude who was taking my order, sucked. Cut me off while I was talking. Same kid and experience at the payment window. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese taquito. Egg was lopsided in the taquito—had to rip off about two inches of tortilla just to get to the egg.
