It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Me and my fiancé came here today 12/16/2025 at 3:15PM we went through the drive through and I ordered a bbq chicken sandwich he ordered food as well. They had us pull up we waited 12 minutes while they finished making the food. We got our food headed home 5 minutes away and started eating. Little did I know my chicken was RAW I didn’t realize till I was eating it and took about 5 bites. Then throwing up. WHO EXPECTS TO BE SERVED RAW CHICKEN. !!! Anyways I took my sandwich back to the whataburger showed Brandon the GM and he gave me a refund. He offered to remake it but since I have thrown up and starting feeling ill I declined. He let me know someone will reach out to me but no one has yet and this is serious!! To say the least I’m now at urgent care at 6:12PM Because I’m continuing throwing up and more symptoms I won’t disclose. I have attached picture I took at home as well as when I went back to the whataburger. I did NOT need this…. Especially right before the holidays.

Incorrectly wrapped, sloppy, and cold. CHEESE WASN’T EVEN MELTED. Asked, when I got to window I asked if they were ok in there, or if they were being held up?, his reply, no, we are out of a lot of stuff, and it’s making it hard on them. Employees were goofing off when I got to the window. They had the ingredients for my order. However, they lacked any knowledge of customer service or company policies. Let alone bagging. No condiments or napkins. Good money for, Absolutely Nothing.
Won’t be back to this location to waste more time or money.
The sad thing is that a family member has been in hospital since Tuesday, with multiple trips to and from the hospital daily, as well as shifting schedules to accommodate their pets.
I haven’t had much time to eat all week. I not only wanted that burger, but I needed it. I’m going to bed at 12:45, and I’m still hungry. Ugh!
