Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Ordered an online order and mistakenly put in 11 pm vs 11am. The mgr was more then helpful, instead of telling me I’m out of luck it’s your mistake, he pushed the order thru and it was for breakfast items and got my order done fast. Also was very organized and ran smoothly. Most locations are chaotic and scattered minded employees. Props to the mgr for his great crew!!

I stopped by to get some breakfast the guy that took my order was either in a bad mood or just doesn’t like his job. Anyways he was talking on the phone & I looked at the menu while I waited for him to hang up.(literally not an issue.) when he’s done talking on the phone he doesn’t even ask me if I was ready to order didn’t even look at me, he simply said are you going to order. I proceed to order and I asked for a caramel iced coffee, worst coffee I’ve ever had in my life super bitter no type of flavor at all. The hot food itself was very good but this guy needs to work on his customer service skills, such as greeting customers because another couple walked in & he looked at them, didn’t say a word & left them standing there. I believe his name is Abel.

Stopped by this evening, food was delicious and the manager, I think her name was Tamira, went out of her way to check on me and the others. I wanted coffee to get me through my Uber shift and she made some fresh for me. Never had that happen at a Whatburger before I will def be back to this location. 10/10

The first Whataburger opened in Corpus Christi, Texas, on August 8, 1950. The first out-of-Texas location opened in Pensacola, Florida, in 1959, leaving about 9 years between founding and out‑of‑state expansion.
As of today, Whataburger has locations in 17 States!
Keep on keeping on, Whataburger! Expand at will. Just remember where you came from.

Omg major upgrade and improved hospitality! I went there for lunch yesterday evening and I went for breakfast today and this young lady was still there. She recognized me after checking on me before to see if I needed anything else and even came out to introduced herself and as the new operational partner but she didn’t have to because I had already noticed the major difference in the quality of food, the speed of service, the kindness of the staff, and the overall welcoming atmosphere. It was honestly the reason I came back for breakfast lol. It has now become my location of choice because wow.

I recently moved to the area for work and was too happy to see that it was near a Whataburger! Sometimes they could be a little short-staffed and there’s a little wait but I genuinely don’t mind most times because I can count on my food being fresh and correct. Nothing like getting home after work and not having what I asked for and that has not been an issue here from my experience. 5/5 top tier customer service.
