Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Got the buffalo ranch chicken strip sandwich and it was pretty yummy, however, it was too saucy for me, since it was dripping with sauce as I ate it and it made the breading on the tenders soggy. I wish they didn’t overdo it with that and it would’ve been even better. They’re also really stingy with the fries, which were mostly tiny pieces. Overall, it was a yummy meal, just needing some improvements.

Asked for a fresh cooked double meat cheeseburger and fresh cooked onion rings, but received precooked chewy patties and double dipped onion rings full of grease and disgusting . I have gotten fresh food from this restaurant before so my suggestion is don’t eat here on weekend evenings.

Fries always hot and fresh this Whataburger is consistently impressive, and today was no exception. Cayenne took care of my order and absolutely nailed it. They’re always warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which makes the whole visit feel smoother and more enjoyable. The food came out hot, the service was quick, and Cayenne’s great attitude really set the bar high.

Id give this place a 4 but put of the numerous of times ive come here to get “Fast” food, turns out to not really be Fast. Literally everything else is good, the service is good, its just they take, ALOTT of time to bring an order out. Mind you I took a hint and ordered online ahead of time, drove 16 minutes and now realized ive been sitting here for nearly 20 minutes. Its 11 pm and theres clearly not a lot of people. Another group next to me I heard were sitting for 30 minutes and it was just me and them, and maybe 1 or 2 people inside the restaurant later. Like I said, everything else about this place is adequate and good, but the sheer amount of time one person has to wait for their order is pretty bad.

I LOVE coming to this Whataburger location! I have always loved Whataburger, but this specific restaurant ALWAYS goes above and beyond for me (yes I get a lot of customizations! And they always get it right!) special shout out to Cayenne she makes my visits so much better with her service! Definitely coming back!!!

I want to spotlight a specific team member that just happen to serve me with excellence! Her name is Cayenne. She exemplified a true team player with her customer service. I didn’t have any issues, just some questions. She not only made time for me, but acknowledged me as if I was the only one in the room. I felt very seen and heard. Knowing she was busy and probably needed to be doing something else, she CHOSE to help me! She had a kind, sweet spirit that’s not often seen when you run into hourly paid employees. I just wanted to publicly thank her for making my day!! Give this girl a raise!!!

What happened to the texas toast? Chicken strips were small too.
Honey butter biscuit lacked honey butter and the biscuit was overcooked
Hash browns were overcooked & drenched in oil.
We were passing through after a loooong trip so we weren’t able to go back.
Quality matters and this location needs improvement.
Maybe the cook needs training?

My first Whataburger …
I grew up in this drive-through after my uncle Bill finished locking up the rodeo arena “The Cowbell”. It would be so late that we always got b.o.bs.
However, …. I was sorely disappointed tonight. Food was cold because the young lady at the counter made us wait nearly 15 minutes AFTER giving us the food. She was rude and purposely made us wait because I asked about the shake when she passed out cups for other drinks.
Customer service was horrible and she had a serious attitude but there was no teason to act like this.
Seriously considering making this my last time at this location… after I bragged about this very location to the manager in a Georgia Whataburger
