Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I had a long difficult day and needed something to eat. And I needed to relax for a bit. Instead of grabbing something and eating on the go, I decided to dine in. I ordered the sweet and spicy bacon burger and onion rings. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. I sat in the corner booth facing west. As I was enjoying my delicious meal, I equally enjoyed the beautiful sunset with the sun’s rays radiating from the clouds. Sometimes you just have to slow down and enjoy the moment. It took 30 minutes to get my food. All I ordered was two burgers, not very complicated or difficult. At the 20 minute mark I went inside to see what was taking so long and they gave my order to someone else and had to completely remake it. There was hardly anyone else there so its not like it was busy enough to keep track of a lot of orders. There were employees standing around outside not doing anything productive. Don’t waste you time here and drive a little longer to go to any other location.

I always use the drive thru. Sometimes, they can be super slow, but I’d rather wait a bit for accuracy since they don’t make your food till you order it, so it’s always fresh. My orders are almost always 100%, except for the times I order delivery through the app…somehow the accuracy drops to 80% and it’s the same store and that doesn’t make sense to me. Either way, the food is ALWAYS good! It’s Whataburger! I get to craving the taste of that special Whataburger mustard on a cheeseburger, and their amazing fries, and I have to go there. They’re always open. The parking lot always seems to be clean, and the staff is always polite.

All I asked for was 2 whatachicken sandwiches with mayo and add cheese. I get no mayo and no cheese. Dry whatachicken. Quit over cooking the damn chicken. This Whataburger is a joke. Have to quit giving them another chance and just drive to one further away

This particular Whataburger could be the most incompetently run restaurant in all of the Whataburger franchises. I put in an order ahead of time on the Whataburger app, requesting my food be ready between 5:45 PM to 5:55 PM. I get there at 5:45 PM and nothing. At 5:55 PM. still nothing. I asked the employee at 6 o’clock about the status of my order and all I got was shrugs. By 6:10 PM I am fuming, and I asked employee the status of my order and told him I’ve been pretty patient this whole time. They were customers going through the drive-thru who got their food before I did. It’s not like I ordered a whole bunch of food to feed an army. It was only three meal combos. Pretty simple stuff. I filed a complaint with the corporate office and was dismissed. Just to be clear, I submitted and paid for my order on the app 10 minutes before my arrival.

Worst whataburger I’ve ever been to, the cashier had no manners and was unpleasant to deal with. I said no onions on my burger and got onions, when I took it back up to them the cashier asked “where?” and made me dismantle my burger to prove it had onions in it, absolutely ridiculous. When I got my new burger they said they ran out of tomatoes. Not to mention they didn’t have any spicy ketchup and didn’t even offer me any regular ketchup either.
