Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I came in to get a large Whataburger onion rings, these days they don’t fill them like they used to they count them. And for whatever reason, they equivocate one small onion ring equals one large onion ring, and yet if you had a container of all large onion rings it would be more than full and if you had a container of all small ones, it’d be lesser than. Take a look, i’m sure they counted them out, but I don’t know how a small one weighing half the size of a large one counts as a large one or just one onion ring. Here’s the photo.

Please schedule Rachael A. to work afternoons or evenings after this girl has had some sleep. If Rachael hasn’t had a nap, she will screw your order all the way up and blame it on being at work all night. A few months ago, I stopped here for a #27 combo. She asked me what drink. Let me repeat, SHE ASKED ME what drink. I said orange juice. I get my food at the window. Umm…can I have my orange juice? Her response, ‘I’ve been at work all night and I’m ready to go home. I didn’t charge you for it.’ I just ordered it like a minute ago and she forgot to add it to my order? I had not been back to this location since. Today, I was going to the Chick-Fil-La next door but they had a long line. I reluctantly went to Whataburger. When I heard Rachael’s voice I knew I should have drove away. I ordered another #27 with orange juice and I also ordered a breakfast on a bun sandwich. She again asked me for specifics; do I want sausage or bacon on the sandwich. I drive to the parking lot and checked my bag. No breakfast sandwich in the bag or on my receipt. I didn’t even bother going inside to ask about it. She has to be tired because she has conveniently forgotten to charge me for an item twice now. I am officially done ordering breakfast at this location.

I came through the drive through and place one order with two combos.
1. Chicken strip sandwich combo
2. Boneless wings combo(buffalo)
I politely asked for both orders to be freshly made and I was told everything will be made fresh. Guess what I was pulled up to the white line waiting for fresh food…received the orders and only my fries were fresh so I went back around to the window and asked for the manager. I explained to the manager which is the very one that took my order, gave me bbq wings instead of buffalo, gave me chicken tenders on my sandwich that had already been sitting, and handed me my order knowingly it wasn’t made fresh when she lied and said it will be made fresh. I was pulled up again for 20-30min at one point I thought I was forgot about. I received my order again and this time I received what they wanted to give me and lied like they dropped everything fresh. If the manager is giving off sorry energy trust and believe the employees follow the same sorry footsteps. Basically you lost out twice because in the end I just got a refund and let it be known I’m not arguing with nobody!

They done raised my blood pressure with these salty eggs . I’ve never been to a Whataburger that season my eggs for me. I’ll probably never get breakfast here again. My breakfast is ruined ‍♀️ The lady in the drive thru was so nice tho

I came through the drive-through on 11/4/2025 at 4:16 AM and whoever takes the orders needs some training on customer service because she was nothing more than very rude. Get to the window she takes the money throws the change practically at you no thank you no nothing except move to VIP. We moved up At least a car length ahead of us we do not know what VIP parking is and she comes to our car again and says move to VIP OK well if we didn’t move where you wanted us in the first place maybe you could take the time to show us or tell us where VIP parking is instead of being rude then she brings the order to the car we say thank you and she literally turns around and walked off without ordering a word I can’t stand to deal with people that are rude when dealing with a customer if you do not like your job, go somewhere else and find something that you like it is not my fault for whatever reason brings your rudeness if she would’ve been nice I would’ve easily put five stars. The food was good and hot and fresh, but she destroyed your review.

Came here for lunch on February 25th.
The food was good, but could have been a little better. There was very little sweet and spicy sauce or onions on the burger. They didn’t add cheese to two of the burgers.
It took longer than expected to get our food.

Terrible service. Took 15 minutes to mess up the whole order when there’s no one in the drive through went last night and my baccon biscuit was sausage and my vegetarian girlfriends tquiatios had sausage. Only thing we could eat were cold fries and hashbrown when we paid almost $20 for food. Will never be back. Ill go however far I have to. Some people rely on these meals to live

My absolute favorite location in Texas! I’m always greeted with smiles and great employees who take pride at their job. Every morning Crystal makes my fries fresh! I can’t think of any other better Whataburger in Texas. Not only is my food always on point. The presentation of my food is always perfect too! Crystal and the ladies here do a wonderful job and deserve some recognition for their efforts and genuine care for the customers.
