Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Whataburger you have strongly lost a very good employee. Dakota Jones was my server on 11/27/2025 and he had excellent customer service. Unfortunately your mobile app was not working and I tried to tell Dakota that and He actually listened to me and served me with a smile, and such kindness and then he offered a substitute for a desert they had that I had on my rewards app using the Whatappints but they didn’t have my specific dessert I wanted and when I came back again later I was told Dakota was no longer there because I loved going there when Dakota was there. Sure he had dinosaurs on his key chain that I noticed but he was a great kid. Never going back to whataburger again service was terrible after my favorite cashier and server Dakota left. My order was wrong, the cashirs were rude to me when I came back to this whataburger. I ordered no onions because I am allergic to onions yet the cook put onions on it and the cashier overcharged me. I never had that problem when Dakota J. took my order. He was one the best cashier I ever met. I was informed that Dakota was not there anymore at this whataburger because he quit when I came back sometime after Christmas of last year. I am from New York and heard of how amazing Dakota’s service was one day my family went there to Texas to visit and came to this whataburger to eat and Dakota was their server and cashier and he overdid himself on showing excellent customer service. But after He was no longer here which made me sad, my orders kept getting consistently wrung up wrong and made incorrectly. Every time Dakota was my cashier he made sure everything was correct and show such kindness towards my family and me.

I had an online order at 7:50pm and I got there at 7:57m and didn’t get my food till 8:10pm. Mind you, I don’t really mind waiting for my food, but when the whole store is empty and it takes 20 min to make my food with around 7 employees in the back , of course I mind. These workers are slow as hell ♂️. 14 an hours for slow employees.

The staff at this location need serious improvement. The customer service was unprofessional, the attitudes were terrible, and no one seemed to understand basic order requests. Our order was made wrong, and to make matters worse, we found hair in the food. This is a major health concern. The Health Department really needs to look into this location.

So I know it was a busy Saturday night…however, when I got my order at first I was missing the Justaburger I ordered and had to wait additional time. Then I get home and realize my jalapeno bacon cheeseburger (which I had order double meat on) did not have the 2nd patty OR bacon!! Kitchen staff was slipping tonight. Also the coke was completely out of syrup. I would appreciate someone reaching out. Order #1600383.
UPDATE: Been over a month and no one reached out to make this right…wow.

My son told me that if I was in Texas that I had to eat here. Dakota was very polite and gave excellent customer service. I had a burger, fries and sweet tea. The fries were hot and the tea was good. My burger wasn’t hot though. I would give it another try if I’m back in town.

Have ordered dine in plenty of times and its been fine, but I have ordered from them twice online for delivery and both times theyve had some random person just pick up my order and leave the store. I manage two restaurants myself, so I know that means that the staff is not asking drivers to confirm orders. I totally understand that mistakes happen, but now that delivery orders are easily in that 40 or 50 dollar range for 2 or 3 people, it kind of makes it way more upsetting when this sort of thing happens

This location has unfortunately gone down hill over thr last few years. Very slow, which would make you think at least it will be hot and fresh. Nope, rubbery Luke warm fires and the burger was slapped and pressed flat and cheese wasn’t remotely melted. It only took this crew 12 minutes to accomplish this feat. Then they handed my food to the car parked in w front of me amd had to come back out and retrieve it from them. I managed to eat 4 bites of it since I was starving. My dogs seemed to like it though.
