Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I have 15 years of experience working as a server, and I strongly believe that customer service should always be a priority. At the very least, a simple smile goes a long way. Here, it felt like they were being paid not to smile and to act annoyed.
I ordered a #22 with sausage and was given bacon instead. The cashier was clearly in a bad mood and nearly shoved the tray toward me. If someone doesn’t enjoy working in customer service, they should consider finding something else.
There was no staff to take the order. The manager and others were busy counting cash, though a couple of customers including me were waiting to give orders.
They didn’t even look at the customers.
Finally a kind young lady came from the drive through order counter and took my order.
This is not a good for Whataburger which is a Texas tradition for most of us.
Hopefully they can do better the next time I visit that location.
Keep up the good work night shift on Houston school road
Every time I come (I’ve visited at various times as well) the service and wait takes so long. I’m waiting to get my order taken when I’m at the drive thru screen, then I’m waiting even longer for it to be made, only to have it be wrong 80% of the time. I’ve paid for sauces and not gotten them, I’ve been given cheese after explicitly asking for them not to put cheese on anything along with a myriad of other issues.
Complaints to the corporate line have been null and I have eventually taken to visiting another location, and believe it or not THIS location is the one I began to frequent due to the location on beltline and I-35 taking almost 30 minutes to get food after ordering, and I’ve given grace due to it being busy some times but there’s times where it is not busy and there should be no reason to have me pull up past the pickup window or to be waiting long on orders for me.
I used to get orders for my niece but with the chance of me not getting the sauces being so high i eventually gave up on recommending whataburger to friends and family.
Im writing this in disappointment, I hope there’s a change at this location that’s felt within the other stores in a close radius, as whataburger is a Texas staple I grew up with and the quality has dropped dramatically over the years (I’ll charge it to inflation this time) and I feel that quality drop each time in all areas when I visit, because I want to forget the bad experiences I’ve had here and give a fresh start, but when im constantly having bad visits I’m becoming more inclined to not want to visit any location ever again.
Ps. I’m writing this in the drive thru line 20 minutes after I ordered a burger and 3 strips only, the employee charged me and has been coming in and out confused about the orders and after 25 minutes of waiting I was brought my food and didn’t have my sauce, he even asked before I looked “do you have your sauce?” Implying he knows they forgot it. This is my last whataburger visit.
