It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I placed an online order at 4:38 AM and was very disappointed with the food quality. I ordered a Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit Meal with an Orange Juice and an Apple Pie. >
The biscuit was so hard it was impossible to bite into, and the hash browns were served cold, as if they had been sitting out for over an hour. As a customer, I expect a much higher standard of freshness. I hope the General Manager or Market Leader reviews the food preparation and holding standards for the overnight shift to ensure this doesn’t happen to future guests.

WHAT A BURGER INDEED! We stopped by on a Tuesday evening and the drive thru was packed but the dining room was mostly empty. Placed our order and we got our food in about 5 minutes. The dining area and restrooms were clean and the service was great!

Lahcen was very patient and made sure to listen to get my order correct as well as making sure I had everything that I needed. He was a breath of fresh air in these days when it comes to customer service. Positive upbeat attitude as well as attentive.The food from here has always been fresh on top of the customer service being top notch! No complaints here at all.

My experience at this Whataburger was bad with the service, but with the food, it deserved a five stars no issues whatsoever with the food. Everything looks really good and it tastes good. However, there is one person at the front who was taken the orders whenever I finish ordering and I was paying and she has or he has the cup over the register and when I went to grab it, he just threw it on the ground and he didn’t even apologize. He just threw it and then looked at me and then just walked away. When I asked for another cup because I’m not gonna take the one that fault on the ground, she ignored me or he ignored me so my experience with Whataburger it’s good and it’s also bad just because of that person that was taking orders at the front.

Found hair on my food I called the store the guy working told me I was lying the second time because he hung up the first time. He was very rude and hung up many times while also being an ass. He didn’t believe me so I took a picture my nature hair currently red so I know it’s not me. I wanted to avoid all of this but I was extremely disappointed and disrespect that I give this place a 0 will not get my money again. The worst part is I spend more money getting other food after this experience. I was happy to come up there and get it remade and return the food but now I spend money on this food and my food I ate what a waste. I apologize I was irritated as typing.

We visited late night Tuesday around midnight. We went in the outside lane because it was the shortest, placed our order and pulled forward. When an employee came out to bring the person in front of us their order he hand signaled to us to move over – which was confusing, why was the lane open if they didn’t want people in it. We didn’t have to wait long and received our taquitos and breakfast burger fairly quickly. Food tasted good but the service was, as usual, a bit below par.

I gave 3 stars for atmosphere because there were dozens teenage kids just blocking entrance/exit. A manager came to the window and told me to becareful and I appreciate that. Young kids hanging out isn’t a issue its better than running the streets or doing something they shouldn’t but it was extremely crowded to enter or exit.

Fairly new Whataburger. Clean and in good repair. Food was spot on Whataburger. No complaints. Service was good but with little to no personality. Recommend.
Update.
Been back a couple times. Food is great, but service is insanely slow. I ordered a dine in number 1 meal. They were not busy. Only a 1/3 if the seats inside were filled. It took 27 minutes to get my meal. Not counting standing in line to order. I could have went thru the McDonald’s drive thru 5 times!!! Absolutely no excuse. When I showed them the time on my receipt when I finally got my food, they said sorry and walked off.
Can not recommend….

Service speed has improved slightly. But service personality is still completely lacking. Do these people get any training at all?

Clean restaurant, Rico was cleaning a floor I thought was already clean. Nice stocked restrooms. The burger was hot, melted cheese and the veggies were cool. Fries were ok.

There are a lot of bad reviews and i used to have a bad review about this Whataburger too but i think a good review should be given too when they have improved their service so much, i usually order from this place once a week and they have really surprised me with the efficiency and speed they are doing things now, when I go to get my order I don’t wait even 5 minutes and my food it’s always hot, one day it wasn’t that hot but I think I waited so much to go get my food and from that day on I go as soon as I put my order and is always ready, hot and ready to go, there’s small things that sometimes happen like they forgot to put like ketchup or napkins but that’s why always check my order to see if everything is right and most of the time it is so thank you Whataburger for improving your customer service. Keep the good work!
