Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

They’ve messed up my order multiple times, i always have to check before I leave. We all make mistakes so I get it but today the fries were literally half empty. Management please do better. If I’m only getting half I expect to only pay for half.

The employee taking my order managed to enter it into the system wrong even though they repeated it back to me correctly. When I pointed out that I said no cheese but was charged for cheese, they walked to the kitchen to correct it. They did not offer to refund the .60 cents and I decided to pick and choose my battles and not fight for it.
When the food came to the table my fries were hot but the burger patty was stiff and luke-warm. I was running late for a funeral so I did not say anything. That was on me.
I am compassionate when it comes to the homeless, but you should not have to beg them off when you are entering the store. They have put locks on the bathrooms to keep them out. Bathrooms are for paying customers I was told.
I passed several other burger options on my way to the freeway. In the future, if I cannot go to the one at 183 and Story, then I will stop at Braums or Griffs.

Whataburger is a true Texan tradition — whether it’s your last meal in the Lone Star State, or your first one back, it’s bound to be a treat either way. In this case, it was the second option — and I had brought my Californian friends along for the ride, as I had not had Whataburger in five years.
Shoutout to the Loop 12 Irving Whataburger Team for taking care of us. The menu did get a little bit more expensive, but I guessed it was mainly due to inflation. But also there was an addition: Mexican Chocolate Coffee? Which I never heard of before.
For this specific trip, I ordered a Whataburger Burger Combo – with a large drink and fries. To be fair, I forgot how big the Texas sizes were, so I was overwhelmed and wasn’t able to finish the whole thing as a whole. However, the sandwich itself was so juicy and tender, and the bun was toasted in a way that was similar to what would be ordered at Cane’s with their Texas Toast.
I’d definitely come back again to this specific one — you have my service and you ave a good vibe, and I’d definitely love to come back for more!

Just now ordered a strawberry shake from here and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The shake seemed like it had been prepared well in advance, as it was overly icy and had separated into an ice-water consistency. The flavor was diluted, and it lacked the creamy texture and fresh taste I usually expect.

I ordered a #7 (whataburger Jr w cheese no onions) meal & a side of gravy. The guy had a hard time understanding “a side of gravy”. My burger had mayo instead of mustard. Then he repeated my order & it was so screwed up… where he got mayo & well done is anyones guess. This place ALWAYS messes up my order. It had been a few years since I’ve been here. I thought MAYBE, just maybe the service had improved. But I guess not. I won’t be back to THIS location.

The person at the window attitude was as if she/he didnt want to be there. I asked for grape jelly, and she/he grabbed the bag and didnt put it in my bag and just handed it to me. Im like did I do something to you that I dont know about?!?! I left and will not return.
