Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

It started off great, I went to the cashier and asked for a #24 and a #22 and then the cashier said in a rude and frustrating way (bacon or sausage.)
I answered sausage (sorry) the small print is not that visible. She rapidly blinked her eyes and ignored my comment.I then asked her if she was having a good day and she replied are you?
I did not intend to upset this cashier and all I wanted to do was relax and enjoy whataburger bkft before I started my day.
To top that off she gave me my receipt without any eye contact at all.
But after I sat she walked up to a guest that sat 2 tables next to me and asked the customer, hey I’m not a rude person am I.
I am pretty nice to everyone that comes in and he said yes your nice to everyone and proceeded to say there’s a guy 2 tables down that thought I was rude (I never mentioned her rudeness at all ).
I thought that was completely unprofessional but again I did not react.
She brought my food and said any condiments ketchup without any attempt at eye contact at all.i grabbed condiments and she swiftly left.
I don’t know what happened to this employee but I came in at about 7:50 and I am still here having my breakfast.
Maybe I should know what i want to order before I come to the cashier or maybe (just maybe) cashiers should expect to make sure that customers get what they want by asking those questions.
Came in as a whataburger fan in bkft lunch or dinner but this mistreatment of me by a cashier has made me decide on going to another whataburger that is not conveniently 5 min away.
I am very disappointed in the behavior of this whataburger establishment employee she is old enough to know better.
Good service is everything
Avoid this location—save yourself the frustration.
Since this is the closest Whataburger to me, I’ve given it plenty of chances, but I’m officially done. The “Curbside” service is an absolute joke. Every single time I order, I end up sitting in my car for 30 minutes watching the clock.
Eventually, I have to give up and go inside to get the food myself, which completely defeats the purpose of curbside pickup. When you finally do walk in, don’t expect a “hello” or any kind of acknowledgment. The employees are incredibly unfriendly; they don’t greet you, and they act like you’re an inconvenience for asking for the food you already paid for.
If you value your time and want to be treated like a paying customer, drive the extra few miles to a different location. This one isn’t worth the headache.
I’m honestly really disappointed with this Whataburger visit. I waited in line for about 20 minutes just to get to the window, and the girl working there was rude and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. When I finally got my food, they forgot the condiments I asked for. I tried to just let it go, but when I finished my drink and opened the lid to eat the ice, I found a hair in the cup. That was the last straw. Between the long wait, bad attitude, and poor hygiene, I won’t be coming back to this location anytime soon.
The Whataburger Cobb Salad is a refreshing surprise. It comes loaded with fresh, crisp romaine and grape tomatoes, perfectly grilled chicken, shredded cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and smoky bacon pieces. The ingredients are always fresh, and the portion size is generous enough to be satisfying without leaving you feeling heavy.
Whether you’re looking for a lighter lunch or trying to make a healthier choice without giving up flavor, Whataburger’s Cobb Salad delivers. It’s proof that fast food can be both delicious and nutritious.
Now, I don’t have this problem at the Whataburger on S. Collins. I used to not have this problem at this location. But this is a consistent problem.
