Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

Reviews
When I arrived, there was only one car ahead of me. I called my wife at 9:18 PM to confirm our order. My rewards were scanned, payment was taken, drinks were handed over, and I was asked to pull forward to wait for food.
Wait Time:
I waited between 15–18 minutes for my order. By the time I left, there were about eight cars parked and waiting for food.
Food Delivery:
When the food was finally brought out, it appeared that all waiting customers received their bags at the same time. I live only about 1.5 miles away, but when my family and I sat down to eat—within about 4.5 minutes—all of our food was cold. The fries were cold, and this was for a $30 order that included two junior burgers.
Past Experiences:
This has happened to me at least four times at this location. I initially excused it as part of being a new restaurant in the area, but this pattern has continued.
Feedback:
After a long day, it’s frustrating to receive cold food after such a long wait, especially for the price paid. Please address this issue to ensure orders are served fresh and in a timely manner.
Thank you.
I grabbed the Whataburger with cheese, and honestly, it hit the spot. The patty was juicy and well-seasoned. The fries were crispy and hot, and I couldn’t resist trying their spicy ketchup—it definitely added a fun twist!
The service was quick, and the staff were super friendly. Overall, it was a great experience, and I left feeling satisfied. Can’t wait to go back!
Ordered a simple two Whataburger combo: one with mustard and one with mayo. Both came with mayo anyway—classic mix-up that shouldn’t happen on a basic order. The fries were way too salty, almost inedible, like someone dumped the entire salt shaker on them. The cheese on both burgers wasn’t melted at all—just a cold slice that I could have pulled straight from the fridge at home. The burger itself was barely warm and not good.
For a straightforward drive-thru/to-go order, this was sloppy execution all around. Quality has clearly slipped—whether it’s rushed prep, cost-cutting, or whatever’s going on behind the scenes. Such a shame because Whataburger had that iconic, fresh appeal for so long. Simply put: disappointed.
