Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Ate here twice. First time I was served the wrong burger. They replaced it, went to eat the replacement and it was undercooked. Second time we were served over cooked chicken. The worker explained to us they haven’t cleaned the fryer that’s why the chicken looks like that. It was rubbery and hard, not just the color. Won’t be back. The manager had an attitude about the whole situation even though our group was being cool about it, we just asked to replace it with something not fried that was like pulling teeth.

The wait time was a little long inside. But it was well worth the wait. The sweet and spicy burger came out perfectly saturated but not overbearing in sauce and melted gooey cheese. Very polite staff, even the new girl who was trying her best. Delicious. Good experience.

Ok so yes, it’s fast food and I never expect much. But, this particular store really shocked me. I got a burger combo, with onion rings and a drink. It was right at $10 and the burger was amazingly good. I also love the fact that they don’t put mayo on their burgers.

I’m sitting here, the only car in drive at 338am and after sitting here 10 minutes waiting to pay and get my food, the chick in the window comes to tell me that we have to wait 3 minutes and 30 seconds on my chicken. BUT shouldn’t that 3 minutes and 30 seconds have started 10 minutes ago? This is my fourth visit (I’ve left twice) and so far you guys really suck. You’re friendly but do not seem to know what you’re doing. I do not think I will be returning. I don’t mind waiting, but I just checked my clock and it’s been another 5 minutes of waiting. Burnt chicken or cold?? Guess we will see.

Who doesn’t love Whataburger? Lol we love all their food. This location has very clean dining area and restrooms. My only bad thing to mention is if you go inside and order to go they don’t offer sauces like spicy ketchup. Spicy ketchup is my most favorite condiment on their menu. We have been to this location twice, and the first time we didn’t get any sauces. On our second visit I made sure to check the bag and had to ask for sauces.

This was a drive-through visit prompted by a need to kill a few minutes and grab a snack (between a wedding and the reception). We had french fries and onion rings, which were hot and tasted good.
