Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.
Mr. Local
The food here is great, the service is good, and the atmosphere is average. Most of the time, this location is clean. The employees do great work. When I think about their professionalism and attention to detail, I feel proud of them. I’ve been to many locations. My biggest complaint all around(not just here at this location), is the crap music and the volume of it. It’s too loud. If you ask them to turn it down, they either ignore you, look at you like you’ve done something wrong, or both. I prefer a relaxing dining experience to a loud speaker blasting “Love Shack” in my ear first thing in the morning! My advice: You should play better music AT AN ACCEPTABLE VOLUME. Note: I marked Dine In, Breakfast. But I eat at various Whataburger locations at different times of the day. I’m giving this location 4 stars.

Cleanest hamburger joint I’ve been too. The food was very fresh and hot. The service was outstanding. Had my two older grandkids with me and they went back for more food and milkshakes, saying the milkshakes were best they’d had. Thanks for making our last stop on our day/evening out so enjoyable!

This Whataburger is getting as good as my old ones in Texas. The new manager, Adam S., has improved the food quality and the staff is hustling whenever I visit. I had the Monterrey Melt today for lunch and that was super tasty and spicy. Loved it. Keep up the food quality and service.

Bun was absolutely drenched in ketchup and my onion rings soggy. I don’t know what going on with night shift kitchen. The person working drive through was great.

I’ve got to remember not to order food here. It is always incomplete or wrong. They won’t add things to the burgers when you ask and pay for it. I mean, NEVER. Forget jalapenos, they won’t ever put them on, even on the jalapeno burger. The chicken chunks, or whatever they are called won’t have enough sauce on them. Next to non. All their drinks have no flavor whatsoever.
The lady that took the order was sweet. That’s all the good this place had going for them.

Worst “fast”food experience in town. I only ever order from this place late at night as it’s one of the only places open. So far I’ve received a spicy chicken sandwich instead of regular, rarely receive the sauce I pay for, the fries are ALWAYS almost inedible and I only live 2 miles away. And it’s the slowest. Usually takes 45 mins for prep.

I rarely write reviews these days, but I must say that I am very, very impressed with the customer service at this Bentonville location. The cashier was very kind, and greeted me with a smile. He came over with a condiment tray and offered me different types of ketchup and seasoning, and was very friendly. I can’t remember the last time I felt THIS appreciated at a fast-food restaurant. McDonalds employees never even ask if we want ketchup anymore, let ALONE bring multiple options to your table! These small details matter, and I am now a true Whataburger fan. Maybe I’m just a bit emotional because I’m going through a breakup right now, but for some reason this warm experience really made my night.
I’ll definitely be back!

Mitchell, the manager is a straight hustler! 1am and this man is flying through the store with who knows how many dozen orders in progress. Extremely polite, hardworking, and helpful. Idk what they are paying him but I know it’s not enough. 10/10 dude. 100% should be promoted.
Whataburger is the definitive “fast-food” burger experience. Their ingrediant quality, amount of of food, price, and dining experience, is simply the best, 100% of the time.
I equate it to Red Robin quality in the style of a traditional 60’s burger joint with a drive through.
My only complaint is that the wait for your food is longer than any other fast food drive through, but, its worth it.
