Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I placed my order and everything I asked to not be on my sandwiches was on my sandwich and everything I requested to be on my sandwich was not on my sandwich. The french fries broken half like a pencil and my iced coffee was filled a little over halfway, this is absolutely pathetic. None of the management was able to help me they could not help me place my order again to get the correct food and it’s taken over two hours just to get through the process which only got me to the point of my problem being sent up the ladder, which doesn’t help me at all.

The burgers were freshly cooked, tasty, hot and the patty itself was perfect, it was not overloaded with condiments seeping from the bun. The french fries were cooked to perfection and had a nice crisp to them! I enjoyed the lettuce being chopped, not shredded. The service was great, more than I expected. Much to my surprise the manager on duty brought our order to the table. The dining area was clean and ready for customers. I am not a fan of fast food but this establishment in Lake Charles LA takes fast food to a higher level. I recommend this establishment for a fast, enjoyable meal.

Idk why I keep giving this place more chances. They’re ALWAYS slow. If you go through the drive thru you can always count on spending at least 10 minutes and that’s if there’s only one or two cars ahead of you..however, I keep going back…not sure why. Today I went through and ordered my food and asked for a jalapeño ranch (which I paid $.89 plus tax for..ridiculous, but not the point here) and when I got my food the sauce wasn’t in the bag. I told the girl at the window that I didn’t get sauce and was pretty much told “yes you did I saw it in the bag” ummmm I’m sorry??? There was ketchup in the bag but that’s all. So after she argued with me for a minute telling me that yes I did get the sauce she, very much with an attitude, closed the window and a manager came and asked me for my bag. They took everything out of my bag and saw that i wasn’t lying ( about sauce oh my goodness) and finally put the sauce in my bag and gave it back. But they 1000% thought I stole the sauce. I’m sorry but that is so incredibly rude and insulting. I don’t know that I’ll be back to this location. It’s so hit and miss anyways on whether the food will even be edible.

The customer service is so unbelievably bad they’re rude and act all pissed off that they have to do their job and they’re slow I waited 25 mins for two fountain drinks a root beer and a water. I get waiting in line when you’re busy but I should not be sitting for 25 mins looking at my drinks while they sit there in the window. The employee working the window should not be asking ME what the correct amount of change back is. I think ya’ll need to look into getting some employees who are competent with better people skills.

The acoustics aren’t good, it’s very clean and because of that the employees are constantly cleaning the dining room. The metal chairs are dragged across the floor while sweeping and it is terribly loud. Everytime we’ve gone we’ve experienced this, I hate to complain about such attention to cleanliness but lifting the chairs rather than dragging would make for a better experience.

I’ve never got the hype about the burgers but I do enjoy their breakfast items. If only they could consistently get my order correct. I order on the app on a regular basis and at one time the manager got to know me– because she remembers my order is often wrong. The crew will always make it right, but it’s never ready at the time noted in the app.

This Locations Store is awful! My wife and I usually love Whataburger, but this time there may be no changing our minds. We ordered Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits, and a Breakfast Sandwich with two Vanilla Iced Coffees. The coffee is DISGUSTING, the Chicken Biscuit didn’t have the correct chicken on it, and there was NO FRIES or TORTILLA SHELLS. Multiple people experienced our order and walked out or complained. Will not be here again. The cashier was also very sarcastic and rude, very slow too. She was also begging other customers to not leave a bad review.

I’ve always had Whataburger back in Houston for many years. Moving to Louisiana I was skeptical if it’d taste the same due to Sulphur,La location disappointment. This Country Club location gets 5 out of 5 stars. From us driving into parking lot, parking, standing in line, ordering, waiting & then getting serviced we had an absolutely awesome experience. Everyone was friendly, helpful and the food tasted just like it always had back in Houston & just as it does coming home from a TX concert! Thanks LC for bringing me something I crave and can now drive near to!
